"Gary and his team were excellent! They set realistic expectations for the time line of the project and were able to exceed it by a day. Gary explained in detail all of the work he could do and the quote outlined the conversation. He was able to start quickly and complete the job quickly. As the job progressed, he made good suggestions on ways to improve the exterior design of our house with strategic color placements and repairs. The team went above and beyond the initial quote when they came across a detail that would improve our home, rather than just ignore it because it wasn't quoted. They were also able to accommodate a last minute request for additional work on a part of the house we did not initially intend to be painted. They cleaned up after themselves and left the property free of construction and painting materials. I highly recommend them and will use them again for other projects."

"Got estimates from 5 companies - large and small -- to paint (dark stained) 10 cabinet doors and 7 drawers (to off-white). Estimates ranged approx $4200 down to $750. All were going to use the same store and type of paint (Emerald urethane). All but one would separate doors/hinges and use brush or spray on-site, one would remove all and paint in their shop. I couldn't imagine the results would be 4 times better if I went with the high end quotes. Went with Wing at approx $750 (not incl tax) to do job. Zach quoted and thought it would be a 2-3 day job to remove doors/hinges and spray onsite. Three weeks later I got 4 day notice they could start work. A 3 person crew showed up on time and got right to work. Professional, friendly, efficient. They decided to use brush only. I "thought" spray method would provide a better looking finish but "no", the brush method was very good (light stipple effect). One prime coat and one finish coat were accomplished on day 1. Returning on time for day 2, they finished another coat and cleanup in approx 4 hours. Overall: Very satisfied and would hire again."

"Very pleased with the repairs and painting of my deck. Looks like new again. Two young men worked non- stop out in the boiling sun and were very meticulous about finishing the project correctly. They replaced rotten boards, sanded and scraped the entire deck and gave the deck two coats of paint. I will definitely be using them for future projects."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in West Seneca, NY

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
