"Met with Russ and Patrick this morning who arrived on time. We had put off plumbing jobs for a while and so had a number of things for them to look at. Our leaky pipes by the washing machine and the kitchen sink turned out to be simple matters of tightening the packing nuts. (We don't know anything about plumbing. :) The running toilet problems were quickly diagnosed with dye, fill valves were adjusted and flappers replaced. Russ took time to explain in layman's terms everything he was looking at and doing along the way. He also identified upcoming problems for us with our kitchen garbage disposal and basement water tank, without any sales pressure whatsoever. These guys impressed us as being very skilled, knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely be calling them in the future.

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
