"The crew that cut down the tree worked hard and fell the tree quickly and cleaned up realitively well. Some debris was left in the street and gutter in front of my neighbors homes that I ended up cleaning up and with two herniated discs, that was not a pleasant job. The original agreement of work asked to have the stump ground down and all the saw dust cleaned up. The tree felling crew did grind MOST of the stump but did not complete it. Left all of the saw dust piled on top of the remaining stump. Again, I was out there moving saw out of the way and discovered that the stump grinding was incomplete. I ended up paying a second company to come in to clean up the mess - it is in my front yard after all. Contacted MDM two days in a row and was told someone would be out to finish up the job. No one showed. Disapppinting to say the least. I really need this stump gone as we are resodding and this is now in the way. I will not use this company again due to lack of communication and lack of follow up."

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in West Valley City, UT

A tree doctor or tree surgeon is another term for an arborist. The term is more common in places like the United Kingdom. They are professionals trained to plant, care for, maintain, diagnose, and remove trees of all kinds. Tree doctors have specialized knowledge to ensure the health and safety of trees.

Arborists are tree care specialists who plan, maintain, and enhance the health of trees with expert precision. They prune, diagnose diseases, treat pest infestations, remove hazardous limbs, and manage debris cleanup while developing comprehensive landscaping plans. They also handle tree planting and work with landscape professionals to ensure long-term tree vitality and safety.

Consulting arborists are tree experts who can advise homeowners and business owners on the right trees to plant, how to care for existing trees, and what to do about trees that appear to be sick or pose a safety threat. A consulting arborist may work with local landscape architects, investment property owners, city governments, developers, and other arborists.

An arborist may be able to save a dying tree. If you notice that your tree suddenly appears to be sick or is exhibiting unusual behavior, contact an arborist immediately. They will thoroughly inspect the tree to determine what might be wrong with it—and will let you know if it’s possible to save the tree and how to do it.

Verifying an arborist’s credentials is crucial for reliable tree care. Arborists must be licensed by their state and hold certifications from reputable organizations such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Request proof of licensing and certification, and review local recommendations to ensure you are hiring a professional who meets high industry standards and adheres to strict safety protocols.
