"Steve is a fantastic craftsman of fine built in cabinets. We worked with Steve to design and construct 4 spaces in the home - a new mudroom, a new basement kitchen in a newly built entertainment space, a new basement mudroom and bathroom. We chose a different look in each space - stained walnut, lacquered wood with gold inlay, and painted wood - he did a phenomenal job throughout the home. Steve is patient and kind, and a good listener to understand what the client wants. He worked relentlessly to make sure the color matched my expectations on wood he stained. His hardware and hardware installation is impressive - all of my cabinets are functioning beautifully 2 years later with zero misalignment occurring. He is creative - added a hidden cubby in my mudroom wall paneling! They rely on subpar subcontractors with no professionalism or craftsmanship. ? Overpromise and underdeliver: I had to stay on top of every detail myself, doing the job the contractor was hired to manage. ? Unreliable: Never kept appointments or confirmed schedules. The only time they showed up on time was to collect payment. ? Unsafe practices: At one point, a subcontractor was cutting concrete inside the bathroom with a gas?powered tool, filling my entire home with smoke. I had to intervene to stop it and argue just to get basic protections like tarps in place. ? Poor management: Subcontractors openly complained about not being paid, and I even had to send one home myself because of unacceptable behavior. ?
