"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

"After receiving a visit from the local water dept advising us of excessive water consumption(16,000 gallons), and, after conducting all the standard do-it-yourself tests to determine the leak, we called our home-owner warranty insurance company who referred us to their own "in-network" offering. We had not been able to find any obvious leak, ourselves, but had suspicion it stemmed from the house and not the meter line. We feared a slab-leak. I contacted the in-network plumber who was cordial but admitted that his company had minimal leak-detection capability. Upon my asking if he would recommend another company, he sent me to ALD who was able to obtain authorization from the insurance company to get involved. Lenny, the ALD plumber/technician took less than a half-hour to find the leak and, albeit it was not a complicated leak, he gave us an education, in laymen's terms, as to the nature of it. He, then, went right to work and replaced the parts. Having been in trades for 10 years in the past, I tend to recognize those who are true professionals or craftsmen. Lenny was one of those. Following the repair, all was good. The work was done quickly with no mess or damage. ALD is a franchise company, therefore, they were a bit high-priced but I felt relieved to have paid for peace-of-mind and would refer them to anyone who wants quality service. <br />"

"I needed a new shower head installed. The original one was not the kind you can just screw off and replace with new one. I called and made an appointment for later in the week. KCP arrived on time and made the installation with no problems. We have used KCP over the years for leaking pipes and other plumbing issues. Repairmen have always been professional, they have always solved the problem and price for service provided is more than fair. I would recommend KCP to anyone with plumbing issues. <br />"

"We had them replace our rear deck about a year ago, did a great job. Posted a review here on that job. They did some external wood trim on the upper patio to tie things together. They pressured washed both decks. The new rear deck is a single level. The front deck has three levels. Were very clean during the pressure washing and ensured that no mess was left behind after. They stained the rear deck and made sure that everything was covered and sealed completely before starting. After they sprayed everything was cleaned very well. They spent a lot of time making sure that the siding on house was clean and free from any stain. After they painted the front after prepping the area completely. Gave the deck two coats of solid color stain. Gave the top deck a third coat because they were not happy with just two coats. Cleaned everything up and left nothing behind. Overall great job again by them and are planning on having them remodel our bathroom shortly. <br />"

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Western-grove, AR

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
