He quickly drew up a detailed estimate, which was very clear as to the work to be completed, the materials to be used, and the costs of both materials and labor. When the day arrived, Ben and his crew (3 assistants) showed up right on time and completed the work within 2 days as promised. "Overall experience was great. The estimator came out and listened to my needs and budget and told me what must be done versus what I could do later. He even wrote up two estimates for me. The first crew was fast, prepared, and polite. And the finisher did an excellent job giving me a nice looking fence that would keep my dogs safe. The only complaint I have was that the finisher left broken pickets, post tops, and zip ties all over my and my neighbor's yards. I thought that was unprofessional. But when he came back to fix my gate to my specifications, I noticed that he spent extra time cleaning up - so someone somewhere listened. "Ben and his crew were an answer to prayer. We were a little anxious about hiring a contractor since we were new to CO and didn't have any experience with contractors here. Our fears were calmed when Ben came out to give us an estimate. Most of the work was done in the Master Bath where he replaced carpet with tile, replaced the tile in the shower and around the tub and removed the tile on the vanities. He installed a frameless shower, a heated floor, heated towel rack and chandelier as well as all new fixtures. In the basement he built a wall with a closet and added a door to an area that we made into a bedroom. He is a very good communicator and makes sure we know what they will be doing each day. As well as doing excellent work, Ben is a man full of integrity and honesty, two things that are important in a contractor. His crew arrived promptly at 8 am and worked all day each day. They were very respectful of my home and cleaned up after themselves each day before they left. If I had a concern about anything, Ben was quick to make it right. He answered my calls and texts promptly. The whole remodel took about 6 weeks with time off during Christmas. We would definitely use AAA Construction again."

"Cancelled first appointment when crew did not show up after three hours of waiting. Rescheduled. Crew appeared for the second appointment one day late. Communication from the company to us about these schedule matters was non-existent. The only communication occurred when I called. Once the crew began the process, things went well. The first day (June 6--supposed to be June 5) the two person crew took out the old fence and installed all of the new 6"x6"x9' posts. They then marked the posts to prepare for the installation of the stringers, caps, and pickets. They did an excellent job of cleanup. The second day a different two person crew appeared (we thought it would be the same crew). Though not as disciplined as the first day crew, they were effective and completed the installation. This second day crew also cleaned up. It should be noted that only one member of the first day crew spoke any English (and this was very limited) and neither member of the second day crew spoke English. The final result was very satisfactory, however, the communication from the office and between the customer (me and my wife) and the crews was not good. If Split Rail can fix the communications and meet the planned schedule, they would receive an A rating."
