"Very well. Our house is a mid century house with the pink tile bathroom. The sinks are over 50 years old, as well as the tub and they looked it. Miracle Method made the tub and sinks look brand new. The customer service was exemplary."

"I was very pleased with Red Fern.  They were attentive to my wishes for the remodel, did good quality work - especially with the trim, were punctual, respectful of our home, stayed within budget and timeframe estimates, and followed-up to make sure I was satisfied with the work.  I would recommend them to friends and plan to hire them again in the future for more remodeling work! <br />"

"Ever and team performed outstanding, high-quality work. Job required a 10-hour day, and they worked all the way until the job was done. At first, the exterior rotten wood was removed, and wood rot was so extensive on the bottom beam, the windows needed to be removed. (The aluminum energy windows are expensive dual-pane with argon gas, and they were very careful removing them). After removing the windows, they replaced all interior and exterior wood trim with new high-grade pine, and treated wood where required. New window sills were also installed, as well as all interior molding. Insulation foam was sprayed in any air gaps between sheet rock and wood. Some sheet rock below a window was also damaged, so they replaced it and sprayed "mud" to match the texture of the interior wall paint. Ever and team used my exterior latex paint (Valspar-Supreme) and my interior oil (Sherwin-WIlliams), since I always use oil paint on interior window trim and sills. Overall, very satisfied, since the work quality is so high, and I know the totally replaced interior/exterior woodwork around the windows with new caulking/paint is better than "new construction." The job was essentially historic home restoration. Ever and team also does kitchens, bathrooms, floors, custom bookshelves, etc."

"Osvaldo and his helpers were outstanding in all aspects.  Went above and beyond to do the job right and even helped out with other small jobs during the remodel, just to be helpful with no added charge.  Superb craftsman; unbeatable value compared to store bought junk with veneers.  Amazing results! <br /> Very highest recommendation! <br />"

"The workmanship was excellent. The anchoring, structure, and trim work was strong, straight and very well made. The tie in to the existing roof was very professional and all seams were sealed. The gutters were designed and constructed to fit perfectly. These gentlemen were courteous and very respectful to me at all times. They commuted with me promptly at all stages of the project. A very pleasant experience."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Wharton, TX

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
