"Since my roof is 20+ years old, I have a Home Confidence Plan with Arocon, which includes two roof inspections (tune-ups) per year. Preston and Keith were the technicians that performed this service on July 27, 2022. I can only say positive things about these technicians. They were very thorough, making some minor repairs (exposed nails). They took photos of the roof, which I received via email soon after the visit. Preston is very professional and knowledgeable, and clearly explained what the issues are with my roof and its overall condition. "We did a lot of research and wanted a roof for our single family home that would last and not have to be replaced after 20-30 years. We discovered the ECO-Star synthetic slate tiles which are made from recycled tires and could be recycled again after they need replacement in 50 - 100 years! This sustainability appealed to us. We’d rather pay double now the price of a shingle roof (1800 ft) and be done with it for good in our life time. The higher price is mostly due to the more extensive work involved. And we are very happy with Riba Construction’s work. The foreman H.B. did an incredible job, communicated well and answered all our questions. He really took his time to meticulously make sure everything was done properly. The company owners came multiple times ether to check in with us or to help with the work. It took a bit longer than anticipated but we’d rather have a job done well than rushed. An Eco Star inspector came out and validated that their product was installed to their specifications. And now we have a 50 year warranty on it. It was a pleasure having H.B. and his crew around. We can highly recommend Riba Construction."

"After years of unsuccessfully addressing water damage around windows in an upstairs room by focusing on the window frames and the brickwork around the windows, I asked W. E. Griffin Roofing (whom I had used previously for relatively minor roofing repairs) to evaluate whether the roof was a factor. Matt Hoffman determined that significant work had to be done including substantially rebuilding two dormers, removing and replacing valleys and flashing, and replacing the roof on the dormers. As in the case of previous and subsequent jobs, Griffin's work crew was very professional and conscientious at all times. They cleared all rubble and tools from the site every day, and the job was started and completed on schedule. In the 4 years since this work was done and the interior water damage repaired, there has been no further sign of water damage in that room. I completely trust the advice I have received from Matt Hoffman over the past 7 years since I first used W. E. Griffin. In addition to the work described above as well as routine preventive maintenance, I have also engaged the company to repair gutters, replace incorrectly installed snow guards, replace failed chimney flashing, fabricate and install catch boxes to prevent leaf blockage of downspouts, as well as routine preventive maintenance. "It went wonderfully. The diffuser of my quite old solar tube had cracked and a chunk broken off. It obviously needed to be replaced. Kevin responded very quickly and tried hard to find a new diffuser that would fit. He also tried to find a solution cheaper than replacing the whole thing but my tube was so old that no such solution was possible and a whole new unit was required. The actual installation was delayed because of snow on the roof but but, even this, was done considerately. When the installation crew was going to be 15 minutes later than they had anticipated, they called. The installation was done quickly and efficiently even though the stairwell presented some challenges. They cleaned up nicely afterwards

"I hired Moses Williamson to clear my gutters and downspouts. His crew noticed cement debris laying on the roof. Moses inspected the damage and it turned out I had a damaged chimney crown that required replacement. In addition, the brick chimney needed tuckpointing in several places to refill the mortar joints. His crew replaced the cement crown, tuckpointed the chimney, and applied a clear sealer over the entire surface. Based on Mosesâ recommendation I agreed to have the brick facade spot tuckpointed and sealed. In truth I had previously noticed small spots of missing mortar on the brick front but had simply put off addressing. I found Moses to be knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He showed me photos of the crown damage, and patiently answered my many questions. And yes, the gutters and downspouts were cleared.
