"I highly recommend Jennifer Lewis, who has designed our master bedroom custom closet and our living room wall unit. She is a great collaborator, highly consultative, and brought so many great ideas. We are in love with our wall unit. Because of the pandemic, there were issues getting some of the components fabricated, so there were delays and the work required three separate installation dates. Other than the delays and very spotty communication from Closet Factory regarding the delays, the project went well and the wall unit is gorgeous. Despite having to hound them for updates, I would definitely do business with them again. And I'd ask for Jennifer every time. She's fantastic."

"Everything went very well. Nicole (owner) and Christine came in advance to see my place and gave an estimate, and we scheduled the first few cleanings at that time. I have been putting off organizing my stored things since I moved in 6 months ago (!) and didn't even have anything put away in closets. When I first moved in I was working swing shifts and my parents were trying to sell the place, so I never wanted to invest too much time/money/energy even in unpacking boxes from the move. I wanted to play an active part during the first cleaning so I did help. I need a kick in the butt sometimes to make decisions on where to put things or whether to keep or throw things away and Christine was understanding of this but firm when she needed to be. The only problem was that a small speaker fell from a table during the cleaning process and an insignificant plastic part broke off; both offered to buy a new speaker for me but it's just a plastic part that will glue back on nicely so I refused. I only bring it up to show they handled the situation very professionally. Ultimately I do rent and it's my decision but because my parents (who are also my landlords) wanted me to be careful about using an internet service, I asked for ID which they were happy to show me. My father showed up during the process to finish a project he started the day before and was impressed and asked me to keep their contact info for another unit he needs cleaned. I marked N/A in punctuality because I repeatedly told them I was very flexible and open to any time of day, and even on any day of the week. Overall I am happy and will hire again."

"Friendly, knowledgeable. Came to home twice. Once for estimate and again to do the work. Called both times to say they would be late. First visit 1.5 hours late. Second visit an hour late."

"Gary appears to be a good guy and wants to do quality work but his staff will continue to bring his business down. His staff went to Lowes up the road for material and did not return for 90 minutes. The person returned and was very discriminatory in nature. He said he hated white people (he was white I think), and made inferences to gays, blacks which demonstrated that Gary will likely have a problem in the future. He talked about trying to get injured on a work site so he can get paid and have time off from work. I was frustrated and exhausted. By the time they finished with the door at 7pm, the locks did not work properly and I had to take them off and reinstall them. Second, Gary came too far for this activity. Home advisor should have a 50 miles radius for contractors (or a 75-minute travel limit) for work. I would not recommend this company to future customers at this time unless Gary gets better staff otherwise, it will become a Dateline issue. Gary is very passionate and knowledgeable about his craft but HomeAdvisor will need to identify if the contractor has a high turnover of employees in their screening process and let the customer know if they have to pay for material first before labor starts. We have budgets too."
