"The job was to level and seed the front lawn. Mother Nature can sometimes be a bit*h. The original topsoil has some interesting seeds in it. As promised, TICE came back in late August, killed everything on the front lawn, seeded and fertilized it and just came back to give it a feeding. It looks TERRIFIC. BETTER than I could have hoped. We called and left a message; our call was promptly returned and Matt came out the next day to give us an estimate. We walked the property and I asked Matt what he thought needed to be done. I swear he could read our minds because he went around and pointed out just about every single thing my husband and I had discussed needed to be done. Our prior experiences with tree services was that it takes several weeks to have the work scheduled. We had been happy with the last service we used, but we needed a service where someone could climb and cut, and our prior service provider did not do that.Tree Masters had had a cancellation and we were thrilled that they could come out the next day. We had two large trees and three smaller trees taken down; all were in close proximity to a shed and some needed to be pulled away from the building while cutting. A major amount of trimming was also done that required one person cutting from a bucket truck for the better part of the day, and another climbing and cutting, as well as lowering cut branches down with ropes. Wood suitable for burning was stacked, and large pieces of a pine tree were cut up and either chipped or hauled away. The crew cleaned up branches, stacked wood, raked up the sticks and sawdust, filled in holes in the yard where "widow makers" came down. They didn't damage any plantings, structures or knock down wires. Many of the trees had been damaged in the last few years and needed significant trimming, much of it way, way up high in the oak trees. They were located near power lines, the street or over the house. The trimming was done very nicely so the trees do not look butchered, but neat and airy. My husband and I were extremely pleased with the work they. We were exhausted from watching them all day!

"It was going well until he kept on asking for his money before he finished. He said that he would leave usable pieces for me. They were 6 to eight foot long and  it took me four days to cut them so i could even move them. If you were Paul Bunyan they would be usable. He also said he would reseed the area his equipment destroyed the lawn. that was never done. His equipment knocked out my  cable and electricity that runs under the yard. he said that would not happen but it did. I tried calling but never received a call back.
To his defense i think his brother died that weekend and that may have caused the inferior work but all I needed was a call back.
I did not keep on bothering him only because of that.

"These people are great. We had a huge tree come down on our house and chimney, breaking through the roof and rafters and smashing the chimney in a hurricane. Phillips Brothers accepted the job when others thought it too difficult and worked diligently for four days removing the tree in pieces, lowering each piece by ropes to avoid additional house damage. The entire crew was polite, professional and hard working. They cleaned up after their work removing all the tree, branches and sawdust from cutting.
