"Junior and his team are simply SPECTACULAR. They are professional, honest, prompt, and thorough, and whether you need interior painting, exterior painting, drywall repair, or staining, the quality of their work is far superior to the competition. Junior is a perfectionist who takes great pride in his work, and his work is flawless. He takes the time to do things right. If you have an older house like ours with cracks and sags in the ceilings and walls, he will leave it looking brand new without a single imperfection and with an absolutely smooth surface of paint. He takes extra special care to ensure that there is never a drop of paint where it should not be, and even if the job has required extensive sanding when he is finished your house will be cleaner than when he started. Junior costs more than the competition, but he is well worth it. We learned this the hard way. We initially went with a cheaper painting company (which, by the way, was highly rated). Boy, was this a BIG MISTAKE! The painters did such a poor job mudding our ceilings that they looked as full of imperfections as before; the paint had that horrible popcorn effect; they got paint all over our stained oak interior trim, and they left the interior of the house coated in a layer of dust from paint and plaster. We called in Junior to fix this mess. All we can say is, "Thank God for Junior!" Do yourself a favor. I would like to add to what I said there by describing the quality of his work on a recent job that involved renovating our oak staircase. The sanding involved the use of both a small electrical sander and hand sanding to ensure that every area of the steps – the tread, riser, newel post, inner and outer string, balusters, and fascia – was completely and evenly sanded. He repaired damage to the wood in various areas of the steps making them look new. We decided to have the treads stained red mahogany and the strings, risers, fascia, and balusters painted black. As usual, Junior used extreme care, including taping all areas that needed to be protected when painting the railing and risers so that the newly stained treads did not get paint on them. The combined effect of the staining and painting was spectacular. The stained treads look rich, even-colored, and like new. The oil-based black paint that was expertly applied to all of the other areas of the stairs highlights the beautiful wood grain. Junior did not leave a single paint drop anywhere, and the lines that divide, for example, the treads and risers, are razor sharp. In sum, if you have oak stairs (or any kind of stairs) that you value and want expertly and beautifully refinished, stained, and/or painted, Junior is your man. I would not trust my stairs to anyone else."

"It went great. The workers were very professional and did their work without any need to consult with me. Rob is so personable and easy to deal with that it makes it a pleasure to have him direct the work. He is someone I trust to tell me what is needed and then to make sure his crew has done the job well. He has been working to make my crawl space moisture free for a few years, and I often get compliments on it from other company's workers, like HVAC and pest control. If they saw my walk-in attic area now, they would probably have compliments on it. It looks terrific with its shiny thermal bubble insulation. I am attaching a picture but it doesn't do it credit because the strong LED light and shiny material makes it hard to take a good picture. They put a foam sheet on the back of the attic door and it also has shiny foil on it. They had previously put fiberglass insulation in this area and soffits or something like that (can't remember exact name) to make sure the air flow from outside is sufficient. I am thrilled that he also put the insulation on the floor, because I think that shiny stuff will deter mice, who reportedly don't things like aluminum foil. Maybe this area will stay cleaner and problem free since I have taken other pest control measures."

"Excellent job on swing assembly Excellent job on hanging peg board Installer informed me it was the wrong type of cat door too install, which I appreciated so that was not accomplished on the day the work was performed therefore is not assessed in the rating. My frustration was with the quality of the paint job to the new door. The person did an good job at smearing the paint - I can see that it was covered. However, I was assured that quality paint would be utilized. When the workman arrived and I mentioned that they were providing paint the response was "I think I have some in the truck". It was clear that paint had not been purchased for this specific job. The door shows gray metal (color of the new door) through the white paint. I've had several folks ask me if I was gonna paint that door. When I contacted Gary he told me it would be the same price to get this resolved (second coat of paint as the first coat.). I believe that $327 to paint double doors a second time because the first coat did not cover it is not a reasonable price. He did not bother to come take a look himself at the cost estimate or the finished product. Therefore I cancelled any remaining work and decided to seek an alternate provider to install the pet door and I probably will just paint the door myself. I included a picture of the paint job. Hopefully you can see the color variations."

"Mike and Crystal were very professional from the first phone contact through the completion of the work. They showed up on time, their work was neat and they worked very efficiently. My windows were in pretty bad shape. They really took their time and prepped them very well which showed in the finished product. When asked to redo or touch up anything it was done without question. In the end we received a very good paint job on a timely basis and at a competitive price. I have already recommended Mike's Painting to others in my neighborhood and would use him again for future painting needs.
