"<p>My permanent residence is in Peoria, AZ but we spend the summers at our home in Lakeside, AZ.  Lakeside,   being a small mountain community has a pace of its own.  I have often found it very difficult to find professional, reliable services here.  I have used Roger the plumber twice; once to fix a water main break about 10 years ago.  Just recently to reroute a natural gas line to clear the way for some new construction. I made an appointment to have them out to give me an estimate.  They showed up exactly on time and provided an estimate of $424.  I then called the office to schedule the actual work.  Mitch was the technician and showed up right on time on the promised date.  He and a helper accomplished the task in a little under three hours.  The work looks very good and come with a guarantee.  There were no extra costs.  I will continue to use Roger the Plumber as the need arises.  It's always good to find a reliable service provider, especially in a small community.</p> <br />"

"The plumber was able to convert the fittings for our stove.  He showed up when they said he would, worked efficiently, and the cost was reasonable.  We've used TCR for years for other plumbing needs, everything from fixing a leaking sink to laying a new water pipe from the meter to our house, which required getting a back hoe into the yard and digging up about 50 yards of pipe.  They have been excellent, and always responsive, competent, and reasonably priced.  We recommend them highly!"

"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

"Their work is of the highest standard and quality.  Every job they did for my family was well done in a timely fashion.  If it were not for for their "Value pricing" model they would still be our plumbers today.  But they always give you three option a low, with less expensive fixtures, middle, and ultimate.  They warranty their work based on which package you buy, the more expensive the longer warranty on their work.   Many of the fixtures would carry their own warranty.  So I am uncertain as to why, they would warranty their work for different lengths of time.  When we need a toilet replaced quickly when selling our last house, the price was outrageous and they finally agreed to sell me an older model that was just collecting dust in their storage for 300 less than their basic.  They do great work and stand by it, but I would recommend more than one bid if you are going to use them.  I think their business model is geared more toward commercial than residential.  But in all honesty I do not have experience with using them for just minor plumbing repairs. <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Winslow, AZ

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
