"Chris came out initially to take a look at the back yard and to discuss the project. I had asked him to put together a design based on some initial ideas and requirements of our own. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about installing patios. We discussed some issues with needing to improve water run off from the back of the house. We were in contact numerous times before start day to refine the design and choose pavers and lighting. Chris was always very responsive to my emails and calls and always pleasant to talk with. On start day, he showed up with his crew and a slew of machinery to excavate and prepare the base for the patio. He worked with me to mark off the perimeter and shape of the patio. When the size of the patio ended up bigger than what I had initially sent as measurements (my error), he didn’t complain- he just said he would order the additional pavers and we’d adjust the final invoice. I had asked him to try and not rip up the surrounding lawn too much and so they laid plywood and made sure that the skidsteers and other trucks stayed on that one small area. This was a real sign of their professionalism to me. I was amazed how the patio took shape in just 1 week. The crew worked through blistering heat and never complained. At the end of week 1, the patio was installed minus the final 4 cap lights since we had to wait for the lights to arrive. I make a partial payment to Chris for the work completed and then 1 week later, he came out and finished the lighting and worked through the electrical hook-ups to the house with our electrician on that day. We used pavers from a vendor who Chris uses and I was pleased with the look of what we chose. The pavers were installed well and Chris used polymeric sand to hold them in place. The job site was cleaned up every night and they moved excavated soil and aggregate base and we never had a “mess” at the house. Part of the project involved them ripping out a concrete landing outside of our adjacent garage access door and I never saw the broken concrete because they just hauled it away. Overall the patio looks incredible and I wouldn’t have asked for a better experience with an installer than what we got with Chris and his crew. I felt that the pricing of the project was very fair and that Chris and his guys were dedicated to finishing the patio as quickly as possible."

"<p>These guys walk on water. First they show up on time!!! Second they are some of the nicest people we have ever met. The quality of work is beyond anything we could have hoped for.</p> <p>When the insurance company tried to pull a fast one with the settlement, Mike stepped up and went to bat for us and he fixed the problem with our insurance. It did not matter to him, he was going to get paid either way, but this is the kind of stand up guy Mike is.</p> <p>We where going to have the roof put on last fall, but Mike was concerned about the weather getting cold and encouraged us to wait until spring. He went up and repaired the problem areas and sealed the leaks so we could make it through the winter. Never charged us a dime.</p> <p>When it came time to do the roof, the material showed up on time, all the colors were correct. The crew showed up when they said they would be here and work hard all day. The clean up was incredible. I think the yard and landscaping was cleaner after they were here then before the work.</p> <p>We can not say enough great thinks about Mike and Over Under Construction. He is not only our only contractor going forward, but we consider him a friend.</p> <br />"

Drew diagnosed that the yard on either side of our house needed to be graded in order to protect the bracing work that was done inside. "O'Malley Concrete installed a new concrete driveway, sidewalk, front steps and front patio to our Eden Prairie home in June 2020. Kelly was much more competitive in terms of pricing than the others we had out for a quote. Unlike his competitors who install a 4" pour, Kelly's standard process is a 6" pour. He gave his opinion on what would look best, but didn't push any additional services beyond what we were looking for. We were so impressed that we decided to add a front patio to the project. Kelly goes above and beyond in his work. He removed and hauled away rocks along both sides of the driveway and widened the driveway. He also removed and hauled away a basketball hoop at no extra cost. He added dirt and grass seed on both sides of the driveway. Kelly is absolutely meticulous in his work, and his entire crew was professional and friendly.
