Our front door was hand built by a craftsman from Canada. It is 40”x 84” and 2.25” thick. Originally it was in a 2 x6 wall. In this installation the walls are 2x 4. The door hardware made it necessary for me to pad out all the exterior casing and sill nosing to accommodate the storm door. Thompson Creek provided me with a qualified installer to work with and he confirmed that adding an additional 3/4” thickness to my casing would allow their door to fit. I highly recommend this company."

He has access to products that you won't find in the big box stores like the Decorative PVC exterior Columns he used to replace our rotting exterior overhang supports. His estimates are clear and you can easily understand the cost of labor and materials. His craftsmanship is top notch as was evidenced on the work he performed fixing our master shower which had been leaking for years because the initial installation was haphazard by using a shower door that leaked, and tile that allowed a grout line down the middle of the threshold. He was able to fix the tile around the shower threshold and recommended that we get a semiframeless shower door with adjustable mounts to accommodate houses which have less than plumb angles. He told me the brand of shower door we should look for and once installed the work commenced promptly and finished on time and within budget. "I called a number of locksmiths a few days prior to this service to compare prices. Laurel was helpful on the phone and precise in their pricing. They were also very flexible about when they could come out to do the work. Their price was competitive, so I asked them to come. The locksmith arrived on time and she was efficient and helpful. She asked if I wanted to reuse the old housing for aesthetic reasons (I did), so she put that back on, rather than use the new one. She cleaned up after herself. I asked her if she could go ahead and key the lock to match my others (it was a Kwikset lock designed to do this and it's easy, but I was too lazy to read the directions to remember how to do it) and she was happy to do so. <br />"

"We had an outstanding experience with this company. Mickey was extremely responsive about getting the work underway as soon as possible and we were pleasantly surprised that they were able to start the job a little earlier than they estimated. The wall separating the mid century kitchen from the dining room was demolished, the kitchen was gutted and then the crew replaced all the cabinets, countertops, flooring and backsplash. At the same time, the crew created one large bathroom from two tiny rooms and that also involved tearing down and building walls and installing a large new shower, vanity and frosted pocket door into the new bathroom.  The team also replaced the floor, toilet and sink from another bathroom, which resulted in a sleek, clean looking bathroom. Steve was onsite daily and he ensured that the plumber and electricians came exactly when needed so that no projects were held up. He also let us know when we needed to make decisions ( about paint colors etc) and kept the project moving forward at break neck speed--he actually went the extra mile--bringing a snow blower after a blizzard so the group didn't lose time on the project. At the end of the project, the guys did an incredible job cleaning up. The whole crew was a pleasure to work with and the work was masterfully done. The wall and floor tiles were difficult to install because of the age of the house, but the finished project is beautiful. In fact, we are extremely pleased with the way the house turned out--it has been updated for the way families live today in a manner respectful to the mid-century era.
