"SUNSHINE WAS PERFECTION AT ITS BEST! Sunshine was 1 of 4 companies we considered for our house siding/gutter remodel project in the area. They were recommended directly from the James Hardie website given our location in Northern Virginia and their performance as a Hardie certified installer. From the get-go, Scott was the most thorough, knowledgeable and attentive rep to our needs of anyone we had met with prior. Immediately after meeting with him, we knew they were the company to go with. Bonus - their quote on the project was well below the competition by thousands of dollars, solidifying the quality choice in companies not trying to price-hike in an already ridiculously priced area. After having a gas-line moved in preparation for the siding project and discovering a horribly installed 4-set of windows with lack of framing (plus rotted wood), we reached out to Sunshine again for a last-min addition of a window replacement to complement our upcoming siding project. The entire Sunshine team worked to expedite the window order and fit that project within the project schedule. Additionally, Scott made an amazing recommendation for trench work of a French drain (flawless as well by Rito Torres), and adjust the overall schedule around our already tasked electrician to route wires midway through the siding project. Words can’t put to justice the amount of attention to detail and craftsmanship the team presented throughout the entire project. The smallest of details were all perfectly covered, from replacing and filling in wood gaps/wall repair on the 50-year old home, removing hidden windows from previous botched siding attempts of past owners, reinforcing needed areas, custom cutting aluminum drip edges to match every curvature of the home top to bottom, to hand-crafting exhaust vents in color-matched aluminum…Sunshine exceeded every aspect and expectation we had for this project. "We needed privacy film installed on side lights and transom around our front door. We were looking for a more cost effective alternative than replacing glass. Bob responded quickly and suggested the perfect film for privacy, light transmission and appearance. Mike did an excellent job on the installation. On the appointment day, he called to say he was running ahead of schedule and if it was okay to arrive early. It actually worked out better for me. He worked professionally and answered my questions along the way. The film was perfectly cut for the 15 pieces of glass that made up the lights and transom. It was done so well that it looks like textured glass. We are extremely satisfied especially since it’s the entrance to our home."

"American Home Contractors performed roof repairs for me and they were absolutely fantastic!!! We recently moved into our home. At the time of purchase, there were water stains on one of the upstairs bedroom ceilings, however, the home inspector did not note any problems with the roof. After a number of rain storms, it appeared as if the water marks were becoming darker and more prominent. After one particularly bad storm, I used a ladder to touch the ceiling and discovered that it was wet. I called a well known roofing company (not American Home Contractors) to get an estimate on repairs. After that company came out, we were advised that one of the boot seals had degraded and that we needed it replaced. (The agent who came to the house also gave us the hard sell to replace our entire roof.) I was e-mailed the repair estimate which was over $500 to replace a boot seal!! I declined to have that company perform the work on our roof and started looking for another roofing company. Enter American Home Contractors. I received a mailer from American Home Contractors which advertised repairs of boot seals for $149. I called the company to double check that the advertised cost was accurate and I was told that it was. I scheduled an appointment with them and waited to see what would happen. The day before the appointment I was provided an appointment reminder as well as the name of the technician who would be coming to the house. On the date of the appointment, I received a phone call from the tech, Paul Cox, notifying me that he was running ahead of schedule and checking to see if he could arrive at my home a bit early. Wonderful! Paul arrived early and got to work surveying the roof. He did not give me the hard sell to replace my entire roof. He was candid about issues with my roof but did not press me to undertake any additional repairs. He performed the repairs right then and there and even went above and beyond to perform some additional repairs that we did not schedule at no additional cost. Based on my experience with Paul, I felt that Paul was honest, trustworthy, hardworking and dependable. American Home Contractors will definitely be earning my business again. I cannot recommend them enough!!!"
