"We hired Bob at first to do a few smaller repairs, repairing a fence post, replacing our back door, and replacing a basement window and dryer vent. Then, we hired him for a larger project to replace our bulkhead basement door. It was a pretty complicated project, made more complex by the fact that our house is 100 years old. Bob ended up building the doors themselves and in addition, new stairs to the basement, and doing a bunch of concrete work too shore up the existing opening. He was very communicative with us throughout the entire process. We had a budget and he worked with us to propose various approaches that would stay within our budget. Once he started the project, he worked diligently to finish it as quickly as he could, and kept us posted of any updates as he worked on it.
