We interviewed several contractors before choosing David and accepting his bid. His crew built a screened in porch and a deck on our sloping wooded lot.  <br /> <br /></p> <p>The quality of the work is excellent --several friends and family members who are in building were just floored at the workmanship. Part of his success is that his crew is employed by him full time -- they worked well together and showed pride in the work they did for us. Some of workers even took pictures of the final product and best of all, they really liked our dog and let her hang out with them. <br /> <br /></p> <p>David worked with us on the design of the porch before construction and kept us informed all the way through the process. He advised us when we purchased extra features we wanted and arranged for an excellent electrician, who we have continued to use for other projects. "Their work has always been "top-notch." Over the last 25 years, they replaced the tile twice, repaired the coping stones when needed, and last summer installed all new modern coping stones. This spring they are scheduled to re-plaster the pool for the second time in 25 years. They also assist with deck renovation by applying the mastic between the coping and surrounding pool deck. We are always pleased with results of their work. They provide the cost of the work upfront and always stick to the agreed price. Scheduling is tricky as it depends on the weather but once they begin the work, they stick with it until it is done without much downtime for use of the pool."

"No sooner were the pool contractors done when the Blue Ridge Fencing crew showed up to start the pool fencing. They did the job quickly and beautifully! We actually put the pool in the pasture adjacent to our yard. So after fencing the pool they then replaced 300 feet of the horse fence so that the pool became part of the yard. They showed up early every day and finished the job in less than a week. After completion, I needed to modify a gate to prevent a dog escape from the new yard. They returned quickly and resolved the problem for me I have learned that often the low bidder is not very detailed in the proposal. When I confronted the other bidder with some questions it was clear he was not going to get my job done according to my needs either in terms of time or quality. Blue Ridge does quality work and does it in a timely manner. I highly recommend them. <br /> <br /> I have since had additional work done and continue to rave about the service they provide."

". I originally wrote a disparaging review of Chesapeake Landscape and Design due to non-responsiveness and follow-up on appointment for an estimate. I was subsequently contacted by Bell Hartnack and it was explained that the person I was dealing with had a serious health issue and was hospitalized and they apologized for not following up. I was subsequently put in touch with the same person as before, who had recovered from the health episode. We scheduled another appointment for an estimate, which was accomplished in a timely manner.  The quoted cost was reasonable and we signed a contract. They scheduled the work at my convenience and it was performed very well and in a timely manner. <br /> Kudos to Bell Hartnack and Chuck Slater for their friendly, courteous and professional service and reponsiveness. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the look of the area."

"Matt was prompt with his response to our request for an estimate. He worked within the rates provided by the penny pinching insurance company. He stayed in contact with us throughout the two month long project. He took a bare stud and concrete gutted basement and turned it back into a great living space. He was flexible as our plans changed. The guy is a true jack of all trades. The project took longer than we wanted, but not all of the delay was the contractor's fault. He was also amenable to our expectations that minor defects be fixed. <br /> We intend to employ him again to work around our home. <br />"
