Customers say: Quick response

"Usually something like refinishing kitchen cabinets can be a frustrating experience, not when you are working with the team at Superior Custom Cabinetry. Initially Catie helped us decide on finish by explaining the process and showing samples. We wanted to work with this company from the start. We refaced the original brown varnish look with a bright white and it really pops. The price was competitive, the quality exceptional so = overall great value. My wife is happy and the Kitchen looks GREAT. I highly recommend this company and would most certainly use them again. Special thanks to John, Catie and Carley for a great job and an enjoyable experience."

"Very well. We viewed actual granite slabs in their warehouse. Adam was very helpful. They sent us home iwth some samples and we finalized out decision. Then they came out and measured (actually, came out twice due to imperfections in the counter layout discovered in first measuring). They cut the granite and delivered / installed it within the time frame promised. Note the sealer will stink for a few hours, be prepared to leave windows open a few hours...not a big problem, just part of the process. Final product looks very nice. The guys did an impressive job. I felt the end product was a good value and would recommend Pro-Stone. Note they also have a Winston Salem store as well. <br />"

"What a pleasure it was to work with Brytons from the first visit with the salesman to completion. While not inexpensive for the scope of the project, it was well worth it to only work with one craftsman (except for the sheet rocker) who completed the entire job start to finish in 4 days, as promised. Brytons kept to every promise they made along the way. A requested switch out of faucets was handled effortlessly. Also piece of mind knowing they will come back within 12 months if needed, to re-caulk. We love the end product and the bath towels that were delivered as a thank you!"

"We had good cabinets but the fronts were not our style,so charlie suggested we just order new doors. Charlie lacquered the new doors and all the existing bases. We went 2 tone with the cabinets, espresso bases and white uppers. Charlie and his Dad  discussed countertops with us and we decided to go with quartz, and they look fantastic. Add a great glass brick backsplash in aqua ,some travertine floors in 24x12 tiles, a stainless steel farm sink, and a fresh coat of paint, and the masterpiece was complete. <br />   Big thanks to Charlie and his Pop Charles for the hard work, and thanks for cleaning up enough for my wife and I to continue to live in relative comfort during this remodel! <br />"

"I was very pleased with the service provided by Handyman Services. Mr. Robinson and his son did an excellent job of pressure washing the wood trim on my brick home.  They were meticulous in not only detailing all wood surfaces but in also cleaning up the surrounding areas.  They were very professional, courteous, and informative. <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Yadkinville, NC

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
