"We selected Shutterworks based on the reviews we read on Angie's List and subsequent meeting with Renee and Denise.  Important to us was this is a North Carolina family owned business manufacturing in NC with a reputation for competitiveness,  professionalism and quality.  The install was yesterday and we could not be more pleased.  From start to finish, working with Renee and her team was a joy and it is easy to see the pride they take in all aspects of customer satisfaction.  I would highly recommend them to anybody considering this type of window treatment. <br />"

"Excellent!, we had a list of 7 small tasks. Robert was all business and very professional. He solved several problems that had us puzzled. One issue, a sticking back door, we had a previous (unsatisfactory) handyman look at. He said to fix it the door would need to be removed, a lot of time consuming work. We didn’t have him tackle such a big project. After carefully evaluating problem Robert fixed it in minutes with 3-4 nails. I will be calling him again as needed and feel comfortable giving him an excellent review!!"

"They did the job. Two people came, Left a year's warranty on their work. The other worker repaired a wall coat hanger at no extra charge. That took less than 10 min. I did not ask for their charge upfront. My mistake. I assumed that it would be reasonable based on Angie's other reviews. I was charged $125 for their driving time from Henderson, about 50 miles and $125 for installation. They were late because they went to the other side of Lake Gaston. Many people get lost but that usually happens once they get inside our subdivision. Don't use this service if it involves travel. <br />"

We manufacture Advanced Energy Panels (AEPs). AEPs are a retrofit for historic windows or any window people can't afford or don’t wish to replace. AEPs are interior window insulating panels and can be installed in any building –office, home or industrial. AEPs have a higher insulation and air sealing rating and provide greater comfort than most replacement windows, yet they are a fraction of the cost. AEPs are custom made to fit over existing openings, protecting, preserving and improving your existing windows.

"Our hot water heater (20+ yrs) developed a leak. I only found out about the leak a few hours before I had planned to leave the cottage for several weeks. I noticed that Lowes' web site showed several 50 gal heaters that would be a good replacement for my older heater.  They also advertised that they would arrange 1 day installation. I bought the heater over the phone and Lowes contacted Michael Askew Plumbing to make the installation. He arrived in approx. 3 hrs with the heater and accessories needed to perform the installation (drain pan, expansion tank). They (Michael had a young helper) drained the old tank, removed it, and installed the new heater in a little over hour. All the work was very neat; area was left clean, and they hauled off the old heater. Michael was cleanly dressed and extremely polite. I would use and recommend Michael Askew Plumbing for any future plumbing repairs <br />"

"Communication was great. The house is tall and on a hill. We talked to 3 different companies about doing the work. One company chose not to do it because the house is tall and sits on a hill. Of the other two companies, Total Construction had the best estimate and the people were so nice. I'm so glad they came out to do the work. Each day they cleaned up behind themselves and made it easy for my family to live in the home even though the work was being done. Everything looks so nice now. I know some of my neighbors will be using this company now because they loved watching the work & the outcome!! Great Company!!! Highly recommended!!"
