"My house is at the bottom of a hill, all the water flows downhill exceeding the city street storm drain capacity in front of my house. The storms have become more severe. In NYC, we are now getting even more dangerous downpours from thunderstorms, flash flooding and dangerous remnants from hurricanes like Ida on 9/1/2021. All of this excess water has flooded my basement and underground garage numerous times. I have suffered a total loss of a car in my garage and replaced the house oil burner twice because of flood damage. I had KB Piping Solutions install a sump pump and a drain inside both in my garage and in my basement. The sump pumps will pump out flood water from inside my house to my backyard. I also had them replace the drain in front of my garage door and at my backyard basement door with larger drains. I met with Kerry on a Thursday, the work was scheduled for the following Monday and completed all in one day. I am hopeful that all of these drainage improvements will ease my flooding problem if not eliminate it. My only other choice would have been to move, and I am not ready to do that."
