Our company invites you to experience prompt service and superior attention to detail. With over 12 years of experience our customer satisfaction is our top priority! We will earn your trust for a lifetime. We believe in making all clients repeat clients. You can be assured you're in good with our company working on your home improvement project. If you are looking for a contractor that follows business practices such as promptly returning phone calls, arriving on time for appointments and following through on promises then call our reputable company today.

"Joe’s team did exceptionally well in removing my old 2” x 12” and 2” x 2” patio lumber wall edge covers and posts, and replacing them with new ones. This task included painting the new lumber to match the existing lumber. The team even resurfaced the existing lumber to match the new. The corner edges of the lumber meeting together were well secured with proper lumber screws, and patched to a smooth seamless finish. Joe and his team stand behind the work they perform, and I assure you will be completely satisfied with their work. Well done team!"

"I love this crew. Nick, Jake and a rotating cast of experts remodeled my bathroom, attic and did other smaller projects in my house. I work from home, so rapport and trust, while always important, were imperative to such a long scope. The kitchen turned out so well, we felt like we had a thought partner and someone who could think outside of the typical contractor box. It's opened our home up so much and was worth every penny and every extra day."

The Original Mr. Cabinet Care is owned and operated by the Jaridly Family. Established in 1987, the father, Moe Jaridly, and his three sons, Sam, Sid and AJ, built what has become one of the largest and most trusted kitchen remodeling companies in Southern California. The Jaridly’s started in a modest 1,500 square foot shop in Santa Ana. In the years since, the Mr. Cabinet Care facilities have grown from 3,000 to 7,500 square feet before settling into their current 24,000 square foot factory in Anaheim, which they now own and occupy. The Original Mr. Cabinet Care has satisfied over 19,000 clients and has been voted the #1 Kitchen & Bath Remodeling Company. In addition, they are California’s only 13 Time Winner of the People’s Choice Award. To learn more, visit mrcabinetcare.com. We serve residents in Anaheim, Yorba Linda, Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, Irvine, Mission Viejo, and many other cities in Orange County, Los Angeles County, Riverside, San Bernardino County and North San Diego County.

"Having hosted the HGTV program “My House is Your House”, we’ve worked with and vetted many cabinet builders across San Diego and Southern California. I cannot understate enough how much of a mistake it was to choose Mr Cabinet Care for our kitchen cabinets on an Encinitas project. We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Mr Cabinet Care. We arranged & purchased custom cabinet drawer fronts that were supposed to be high-quality, but they arrived with noticeable gaps. the gaps were problematic for two reasons: 1. for the drawers / doors that closed incorrectly and 2. for being prone to collecting food debris (and unable to clean or remove that debris). When I contacted the company about this clear defect (the food /gap error), they completely dismissed my concerns, blaming “care and maintenance” instead of acknowledging the poor workmanship. Even worse, they provided doctored photos in an attempt to shift the blame, falsely suggesting that residue such as gum or putty had been left on the drawers. Not only was this completely untrue—no such residue existed in any of the photos we originally provided, nor in any additional photos we took. Falsifying evidence to avoid responsibility is not just dishonest; it’s unethical and gives us even greater concern over other claims they’ve made in workmanship or materials. The operations manager even said “The material you selected, White Oak Select, is naturally prone to expansion and contraction due to environmental factors such as heat and humidity. Upon reviewing the photos taken by the technician, it appears that the issues you are experiencing are likely related to care and maintenance, rather than any manufacturing defect.” These were installed weeks prior to our notice, not years later, and during a cool weather season. To claim extreme weather (like heat & humidity) in San diego is laughable and outrageous. Under California law, products like these are covered by warranties ensuring they are fit for their intended purpose. These drawer fronts clearly do not meet that standard, yet the company refused to honor its obligations. Instead of standing behind their product, they chose to manipulate the situation to avoid accountability. Beware if you work with them and have future warranty issues, youre going to likely run into similar defenses and accusations. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this company. If they are willing to misrepresent facts and dismiss valid concerns, I can only imagine how they handle other customer complaints. We regret this purchase for our client and would never recommend them to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship or honest customer service. We will not be using them for any future HGTV projects nor recommending them to other clients or customers"

"5++ stars! My home's exterior was cracking due to a poor job prior and drainage issues. Tom and Adam and the team not only gave me peace of mind moving forward with drainage, put in gutters, and re-did the entire exterior of my home (stained wood and stucco), but made it beyond beautiful!! They were communicative, timely, so easy to work with, and the end product is gorgeous. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a construction project done and can't wait to use them again on my next project!!"

"We contracted Meir Construction Company on July of last year 2021. The original plan to start the renovation was around December. After we signed the contract we never had any type of good communication from Thai Gaon (one of the owner). I called Thai second week of January after finding out from our local city hall that our permit has been issued. We agreed with the date to start the work on February 21st, 2022. First week was great the crew did a great job tearing down the kitchen. However I’ve noticed that they just dumped all the garbage on the side of my house which was recently repainted. I asked the Forman why they were dumping the garbage on the side of my house why there’s no dumpster in front of my house. The response was “we will take the garbage right away. However it did not happened up to the point were there was so much garbage that it nearly collapse our fence. The first crew that came rarely work the full week. We were told multiple times that they will come at 8 in a morning however there were times that they didn’t show up for days. They always have excuses. They were sloppy and unprofessional and we were starting to be concerns. They never cleaned up after themselves and treated our house as a garbage dump. Weeks went by with nothing accomplish. After months of this and much of complaining, we sent Thai a video of what condition our house was. His response was “was that taken today?” (April 29th) And we said “yes”. After that we were told that he will be firing the present crew and he even sent us a screen shot of that conversation. Second crew came and pressured us to repay them to fix the mistakes from the first crew. Example, we need to repurchase a $700 worth of molding that was thrown away by the first crew. When the electrician came we were told we have to purchase all the materials needed. All of these was covered in the contract. When we asked Thai why we have to pay for something that supposed to be included in the contract. His reply was “ Do you want me to complete the job or walk away?” We have a screen shot of this conversation. He then claim that he was net zero on the project and he refused to pay anymore labor towards our job. Also their unlicensed electrician disconnected our solar resulting a $600 electric bill and we also failed the inspection due to his work not being up to code. And he has a nerve to ask for $500 to come fix it. Then the second crew came and they were worst than the first. Once again inferior workmanship and treating our house as a garbage dump. Left over lunch soda bottle, construction materials, etc… Island countertop was still not on site and they were asking us to pay to have it delivered. We had to have a family friend to drive to my house in the middle of the day because they needed unloading our countertop which they damaged by scuffing the edges. Their contractor also put a ding in our brand new refrigerator door. Our soft close kitchen cabinets and drawers are not aligned and spice rack doesn’t close properly. In the hopes in completing this job which at this point we were without a kitchen for three months we ask Hector to paint half of the island cabinets to match and we bought a special paint for the project but he totally botched the job. He did not prepped the cabinets and sprayed the paint directly onto the cabinets, which resulted in it peeling right off. It did not stick. The remnants are all over our backyards in our plants, they never cleaned it up. For this he demanded $500. He also demanded $1000 to put our doors and fixtures back which they removed. The lists of errors goes on and on. He offered our friend to put the shutters back and put the doors which they promised but we found out from our friend that they called him the next morning and told him we are not paying anything anymore with this project. He was told that if we want to pursue putting the shutters and doors back we will have to pay it, this was on May 23rd and we have not heard from them. In summation this job has not been completed. There are numerous infractions too many to list. We do not wish anyone else to go through this horrible experience that we had with this company."

Second story addition building services FAQs

For many homeowners, building up is worth the expense because it provides the extra bedrooms or living areas that can’t be accommodated within the existing footprint. A larger, updated home often commands a higher resale price, recouping a sizable share of the project cost while allowing you to stay in the neighborhood you love. Run the numbers with a real estate agent and contractor to ensure the expected return and day-to-day benefits align with your goals.

Whether it makes more sense to build up or out depends on your lot, budget, and local code. Building up preserves yard space and involves less foundation work, but you may need to vacate the home during construction. Building out avoids staircases and can proceed while you stay put; however, it encroaches on the yard and may face setback limits. Compare both options with your contractor before making a decision.

A structural engineer will first inspect the existing foundation for cracks, footings, and load capacity. Depending on the findings, the crew may pour new concrete footings, install steel or concrete piers, add reinforced beams, or tie additional rebar into the slab. These upgrades redistribute the weight of the new floor and bring the structure up to code. Your contractor will outline the specific reinforcement plan and timeline once the engineering report is complete.
