"Overall, Tom was personable, professional, and he got the job done fairly easily. I trusted his judgment in what kind of mounting hardware to use into the wall -- which was probably the one issue I had with how things went. Mr Handyman only provides their labor; the customer needs to provide ALL materials, which initially was challenging because the guy that I spoke to on the phone said that I had to wait until their guy arrived to even know what parts to get! He said the handyman would tell me what to get, and I'd need to go to the store -- while the guy is at my house -- and get the mounting hardware! (As a side note ... who would leave their house with someone they don't know inside it?). But then when I protested on the phone, he suggested I go to Home Depot and ask them, and get what they suggested (which made me wonder ... I'm hiring them for THEIR knowledge, right??). So my solution, which was the least painful in my mind, was to go to the hardware store and buy multiple different mounting options, and have them available for their guy to choose from (after which, I'll take the ones he didn't use back to the store). The only other point was the price, which, to explain ... Mr Handyman is a bit on the high side, because they charge for a full hour in addition to their service fee, even though Tom was only actually working at my house for about 30-40mins."

Found him to be open and honest, wanted a job to be well done and to my own satisfaction and was more than reasonable. Now it's done and he was so easy to work with. "I am extremely pleased with the work done by Mike of McDaniel Maintenance. He sanded, primed and painted a steel front door that was pealing that and had rust spots. Also sanded and painted the surrounding trim. He also replaced blinds over the kitchen sink. And wired a ceiling light to replace a bathroom fan. Mike was polite, professional and cleaned up the areas nicely. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend McDaniel Maintenance. It is great to to find a company who is willing to do small jobs. If we are in need of a handyman that will be who we call."

"Mr. Powell was fantastic throughout my deck project. He was low bidder. He provided great service with specific terms. He was here when he said he would be here - every time. He worked in the mud and rain to ensure the job got done. He handled all permitting and approvals flawlessly. The entire project took less than a month from initial permit approval to final inspection. The site was cleaned up and he also worked around my landscaping without damage. He actually tried to charge me less than the initial bid but I chose to pay him the original bid anyway. On top of all this, he's a nice guy. I highly recommend him for any kind of similar project."
