"While most remodeling projects are tedious at best, what a pleasant experience we had working with Steve and Darci of Hill Country Stairs and Millworks! Unlike some contractors who say they specialize in stairs when they really try and just generalize in everything, Steve is a "Stair Master." He quickly assessed our project, gave a fair and reasonable bid within 48 hours, and completed the job on time, and above and beyond expectation. He does the work himself - no bidding the job and then disappearing while his "crew" takes over. He clearly prides himself in doing honest work and providing excellent craftsmanship. The staircase, even without the final staining and painting, are a thing of beauty! What a relief to find someone in the remodeling business you can count on. And he will even deliver a pie from his daughter's pie company, Sweet Thang, as a bonus! We will definitely call on him again when its time for more millwork in our remodel project - in fact we have him already contracted to do two more projects."

"I did have Roy Smith come out to do my handyman work. You had his name on Angie's list, but he wasn't signed up yet. I had his card ahead of time because I was going to call him for handyman work. He has done services for me 3-4 times. He has his own company, he works on water systems and then he does other stuff. He was on Angie's list, but he wasn't recommended because nobody had given a feedback. He is good, reasonable and honest. He is good at what he does, some guys can come in and do your handymen stuff but they don't have the insights to know what is wrong with the thing, but this guys knows it all. I had bought a cabinet to put together in my back hall, and my husband thought that he could do it and it was very confusing because the directs were in Spanish. This guy got it put together and it looked really good and it worked out for me. He is smart, he can figure things out, were a lot of guys couldn't, he saves whomever the way he can. I paid $35 for an hour and he did other things like he changed my water softener and worked on the reverse osmosis things. He calls you if he is 20 minutes late. He is a real good guy. I don't have anything negative to say about him."

"As a Property Manager looking after many properties, Mr Favreau was the first person i would call whenever i needed work done. I knew my clients were in good hands, that the work would be top quality and the price more than reasonable. Having someone like him on the books certainly made my job easier. His skills cover many areas so there isn't much he cannot do. Whenever i have an issue with my own home, Mr. Favreau is the first person i would turn to."

"Michael was terrific, though a bit more than we had bargained for price wise. He is out to get every penny he can. Understandable I guess. he did a terrific job in the back, was professional and during our conversation came to fix the dishwasher as well. The man knows his way around a hammer and screwdriver! Would use him again. Exterior painting, neat and complete."

FAQs for handyman service projects in Yuma, AZ

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
