"Excellently - John M was the definition of professional, start to finish. My lower element went out on my 26 year old tank. I tried to get the old one out and realized I didn't want to deal with it. It had that feeling of something that would end in blood and swearing. I called Mattioni's around 3:10 on the Tuesday before Christmas and by 3:55 John arrived. After putting on shoe covers we went to the basement to have a look. He quickly convinced me that, aside from possibly not being able to get the old element out, there was no warranty on the new one since the system was so old. I quickly came to my senses and asked if he could put in a new system, like now. He said sure, went out to the truck and got his gear. First thing he did was put a runner down from the front door, down the steps and into the laundry room. (Ask me about the previous contractor who was drilling through concrete in my basement for over 1/2 hour and didn't bother the put a drop cloth down, close the door OR use a vacuum to suck up the dust). John called the shop and had a new heater delivered. They VERY carefully dollied it down the steps and navigated the rather tight quarters to get it in the same room, then VERY carefully carted off the old one. He put in a new shutoff valve, expertly soldered in the new tank and hooked it up. All in under about two hours. When my wife and daughter got home about an hour later, they, holding their breath asked how it was going. I was thrilled to tell them it was done. No complications, no mess, no hassles.

They looked over my system and gave me a fair price quote for the work to replace the sump pump with a new cast iron Zoeller sump pump. They were able to do the work quickly and efficiently at the appointment. Jason was very nice and knowledgeable and did a great job!"

The plumber only brought 5 fittings, but he gave me the option to run to Home Depot to get more... I was also instructed to replace a hose which wasn?t leaking until after the repair, but it was easily fixed when I suggested to connect the new hose to the pipe rather than to the leaking hose. Sharkbite valves were installed. If I knew they were going to be used, I would have done the work myself. The plumber was proficient with the Sharkbites, I just expected that a pro plumbing company would solder. When the plumber left, there were no leaks, and I didn?t feel like making an issue of the other 2 valves which I wanted installed."
