"PROS: Venly came out the same day I contacted him and was able to give me a quote for my new backyard patio idea. 2 days later his team was installing the new concrete patio. We were even able to add on a concrete pathway that led from my patio to my garage door on the back side of my house. All of the concrete was poured, textured and colored on the first day. They work hard and are very fast at the demo of existing concrete and grass. They did a good job with removing the old materials and packing up all of their gear once the concrete was poured. CONS: Pouring concrete in the beginning of spring proved a bit challenging however since the weather never wanted to cooperate. It took a while for his team to come back out and seal the concrete due to the rainy weather. They put on a thick layer of the sealant and didn't do the best job making sure it was spread out evenly and I had a few puddle spots where the sealant pooled up. Also, there are a few foot print marks on my concrete that must have been imprinted on the concrete as they were laying down the stamped concrete patterns and walking on them. They are not super noticeable but they are there in places. Lastly the pattern they added to the concrete was a slate type pattern, in certain areas it looks really good and was worth the money, in other spots it doesn't look quite as nice, but still looks decent. Conclusion: If you want a job done quickly and at a decent price, Island concrete will be able to get you what you need."

"Elias Contruction provided a detailed estimate after inspecting the roof and making some qualified recommendations. The project required a few change orders that were not clarified in writing. I would recommend hiring Elias if you get changes in writing. They cleaned up pretty well although they missed a few things due to finishing in the dark. Overall satisfied with the job and cost was 60% of other bids due to sheathing adjustment."

"I called Doug for an estimate and he got back to me quickly by text.  He took at look at my property and gave me a bid for the job.  I also had other bids for the job but I was impressed with the fact that he had all of the steps included in the bid that we knew should be included in this concrete repair job.  Doug and his crew arrived on the job as scheduled and the job was completed on schedule.  I was impressed by the knowledge of Doug and his crew about concrete, thickness, cure time, etc. - all of them knew what they were doing, that was obvious.  I went with an aggregate finish and it looks great.  Doug even added a step at my back door for me with the left over cement.  I would definitely hire them again for concrete pouring needs.

"From the beginning, starting with our project consultation, Sta-Built was fantastic. They explained the project to us down to the finest detail so that we were comfortable with what was going to be done and the length of time our project would take. The crew showed up timely everyday, were courteous and respectful to us and our neighbors. If we had any questions or concerns the foreman would get back to us very quickly. There were a couple hiccups in the project, but I can not say enough about how they fixed any issue and stood by their work and finished with an outstanding product that we will enjoy for years to come. "They almost finished but I made the mistake of paying when they were almost done. They didn't show up to remove the last of the plywood forms for the retaining wall. I called at least 4 times and requested that Nelson, the owner of the Co. to send someone to complete the job. He told me 4 times ok and gave me a day when they would come to do that. All 4 times no one showed up. And no one called to say they wouldn't be there. I feel that Nelson was playing with me but do not understand why? I paid in full. $12,000 + tax. Also, he requested I make the check out to his name. I don't know if that is legal to do or not. But I did it."
