"I needed to have my crawlspace entrance widened to accommodate a new furnace. For starters, the wood frame around the entrance, nailed to the concrete foundation, would have to be removed. Additionally, a few inches of the concrete wall would have to be removed to make the opening even wider. The work was complicated by the fact that the entrance was surrounded by a small aluminum enclosure, which made things pretty cramped.
The two NCC employees (Garret and another) arrived on time. They removed the frame with a large pry bar. They also made a clean 20" vertical cut through the 8" concrete wall. When they were done they made sure I thought the opening was large enough for the furnace. In the end, we concluded that the aluminum enclosure would also need to be removed. They were willing to do that too, but they didn't have a reciprocating saw with them. They did advise me on how they thought it could be done.

"When the concrete project was started they rolled the grass back to set the forms for a re-pour of our patio. At the completion of the project there was excess gravel and concrete that overflowed into the trench where they pulled the grass back. The supervisor told me that they would roll the grass back into place to set the forms but would roll back when they were done. Another employee told me that they would remove the excess gravel from the trench and knock off the excess concrete that spilled out from over and underneath the forms. Toward the completion of the work, it appeared they were not going to haul away the gravel and chip away the excess concrete so I called Daniel who was on another call and said just a moment and instead of putting me on hold, I ad to listen to him yell at the other caller about some equipment that needed to be fixed. I felt this was very unprofessional. When he was finally able to then continue the conversation with me, I told him about the gravel and concrete in the trench to verify they were going to remove it. He told me they are not in the landscape and sprinkler business and told me to read what was noted on the original paperwork. I wasnâ t asking him to do the landscaping and replace the creative curbing that was destroyed, I just was simply asking them to clean up their mess made from the project."
