Ripped out 30+ year old brick island at the front of our subdivision, installed a new concrete version & filled with topsoil. The job came in at or under the price quoted & we are very happy with it. "Fantastic! I've been in construction (large projects, i.e., 5 million to 300 million plus) for over 30 yrs. I wanted to gift my oldest grand daughter a parking slab (approx 750 sq ft) at her home and reached out to Angi's list for contractors willing to do smaller jobs. J&A was one of 6 leads they sent me and by far the best of the lot. They showed up on time to do their estimate, rather than asking to reschedule an appt they scheduled, or not showing up at all. They had an estimate in my hands the same day, rather than 2 days later. More importantly, their estimate was turn key. Here's what it will cost and here’s what that will get you. Unlike the overinflated checklist I received from another contractor where everything was additional and would have cost $2,100.00 more than J&A's bid. The crew showed up on the day and time they said they would and the job was completed faster than they they thought. 2.5 vs 3 days from grassy area to cleared, formed, poured and finished. They were polite, respectful of the rest of the property (no ruts or truck tire tracks in the lawn), and cleaned up after themselves as they went. For a small Contractor they were Impressively Professional. If we need more work they will get the call and I highly recommend them!"

"I needed to replace my 85 foot-long driveway. A loblolly pine was situated beside the driveway, easily as old as my 1961-built house (who in their right mind plants pine trees right next to driveways?), and the roots were pushing and cracking the concrete, creating a large bump which made driving on it quite annoying. I also wanted to replace the 3'x3' concrete pad at the back door of the house with a larger stamped concrete patio and replace the front walk and porch. A big job for one house. Bill came to provide an estimate, and I found him to be friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't talk down to me (as a woman, this is very important, and I've made it a point to not hire folks for talking down to me). His price was fair, and he itemized each project in detail in the estimate. I had the tree beside the driveway cut down, and the stump ground down as much as possible. There were still a lot of roots below the old driveway, and Bill's crew did a great job of getting them removed once the old driveway was demolished. Bill kept me updated throughout the entire process and didn't mind me asking silly questions. I absolutely love the new patio, and I'm thrilled that I now have a driveway that I don't have to "4-wheel" it over!"
