"I designed the bathroom I wanted and they did everything I asked them for. They remodeled new shower (custom tile), tile floor, new toilet, vanity, sinks and paint. 24/7 was always available to answer questions I had, always friendly and professional. All details were done beautifully. My old bathroom was a total outdate from the early "80's." I would hire 24/7 Plumbing to do another job at my home."

"We found a river flowing from the main water line outside our home. I found them through Angie's List and called them. They got here within a few 90 minutes. Upon arriving, they got to work right away. Within another 90 minutes they were finished. Quite a great turnaround time. Their fee was more than affordable. While they were working, I asked them a few questions regarding the plumbing in the house and they were more than polite about everything. I will definitely call them again. I HIGHLY recommend them!"

"I commissioned Todd to install a new gas heater, pool pump, filter, led lights and 8 solar panels to heat the pool. The work was done quite a while ago and so far everything has been functioning beautifully. <br /> The team that installed the system were very professional and answered all my questions that I had during the install. They even provided tips on how to maintain the system and trained me on how to use it. The team cleaned up after they left and painted everything to match the existing color. When I once had a concern that something wasn't functioning, they came immediately to reconcile the situation. <br /> Working with Todd was very easy and he was very responsive through email to my, what seemed like, millions of questions. His no-nonsense approach to designing the system and very reasonable prices are what drew me to him. Todd's system quotes also included all available rebate information too. <br /> I am happy to report that I can now swim 7-9 months out of the year in warm water at the sun's expense.  :)"

"The plumber got there on time, which was a large issue, since the water <br />was due to be shut off sometime that day. He introduced himself and asked me what the problem seemed to be. I told him that in two bathrooms we could not get any water to come out of the sinks and that there was an issue with some repairs that had been made in the attic. He went into the bathrooms and turned on the water faucet and saw that they were not working. He then took part of the plumbing of the sinks apart and cleaned them out and they worked. He had to make a return trip with a ladder to get into the attic. He was back in 15 mins. with the ladder and up in the attic inspecting the previous work. He said that everything was done properly and looked good. We were able to make the decision to go ahead with the purchase of the property due to their coming out. <br />"

"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

"Martha was informative, friendly, and took detailed measurements.  Kelly was friendly and was great with communication.  The installers were professional, friendly, and did good quality work (pertaining to the shower doors and the mirror only).  The materials they recommended are beautiful.  The cost was below what we expected to pay.  Only reason why I didn't give them a perfect score was because the job wasn't without it's minor problems. We had obstacles that hindered the installation of the mirror.  The installers had to come back a second day at no extra charge to me.  I fully knew the risks because it was not their speciality, but I approved the removal and reinstallation of a light fixture by the installers.  It was not reinstalled properly but it was not damaged beyond repair.  I had to hire a plumber, again in the middle of the mirror install, to remove and replace the faucets in order to place the very large one piece mirror on the wall.  Only reason why I bring this up is because it was possible for me to have those items removed prior to the start of the job had I been notified to do so. I blame myself for not having the where-with-it-all to do that.  Had they been able to able to go above and beyond by removing and replacing the light fixture in good working order, I would have given them a perfect score.  I doubt any other glass company could have done any better given the circumstances. <br /> The workers were not punctual, between 30 minutes to 1 hour late, on the two days they came to the house.  Despite that, overall, I would highly recommend them for shower and mirror installs. <br />"

"Sadly, I cannot recommend Evans Mechanical. I had some heater work done and some additional duct sealing was also needed, but could not be done for 9 weeks. The tech that repaired the heater(he did a good job), spoke on the phone right in front of me with the scheduler and placed me on the schedule for the first week of February, 2018. Since they hadn't called me prior to this week, I called Evans to only find out I was never put on the schedule at all. I was then told I would need to be put back on the schedule for another months wait. The scheduler acted like it was my fault, no apology. Needless to say, I am not pleased at all."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Fort Irwin, CA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
