"Faucet Brothers has been doing work for me for probably the last six or seven years. It started with a remodel of a bathroom. Which they had to move a drain crawl under the house to replumb and put all new plumbing in the walls. Since then he has repaired and replaced our water heater, which was an emergency and he was here to help out in no time. We have remodeled another bathroom he has helped change out the shower and do all the plumbing. He has also put a sump pump in for us and replumbed our kitchen faucet drain. I cannot say enough about How pleased we are with these guys. They’re truly awesome, they’re here when they say they’re going to be here. I would give them ten stars."

"Rob came out to my home as I had leaks coming from unknown source. He has EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION, asked many questions over the phone to assess the problem possibility before he come out. Rob picked up the parts he thought he would need, checked all the possible problem areas and went right to work. The problems were solved in no time, and recommendations to replace were given. Rob is the owner and a very pleasant gentleman. I would call him again for help."

"Ron and his crew did a great job. He started when he said he would and did a thorough job. Called for the pump truck to remove contamination, added a clean out where there wasn't one, and even brought gravel to fill in the area under house. The helpers were great as well. Thank you."

"Our tub and shower faucets were leaking and we couldn't turn them off without constant dripping. The cartridges needed to be replaced and in order to get the correct cartridges he would have had to take them with him to his supplier. To do this our water would have to be turned off. He made two trips to get the correct fit which took much more than an hour for travel and to replace them. He charged us for only one hour and we only had our water turned off for the time it took to replace them."

"The underground water main between my well and residence failed. Robert and his crew came out, evaluated the problem, and provided me with a couple different options to repair the old pipe. Robert returned the next morning with an excavator and his crew and they began digging up the old pipe. Robert was very careful and discovered additional buried pipes in the area, but because of his slow and careful digging with the excavator he did not damage any of the pipes. He determined it would be best to just install a new line. He had all of the necessary tools and supplies on his truck to install the new line. I offered to take Robert and his crew to lunch, but he politely declined and explained the excavator was rented by the hour and he could not justify taking a lunch break because of the rental fee. From start to finish, it took them 4 hours. I would HIGHLY recommend Robert for your plumbing needs. He is returning to do additional work for me on a remodel. "

"Although this business does not perform this installation, they called back the next day to inform me. They were very professional and very kind and referred me to 2 other plumbers that might. In a day where people don’t return calls, I was impressed that they called back right away even though they did not perform this type of installation. I would call them again!"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Grants Pass, OR

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
