"Both gentlemen from Huntbwere excellent. They provided a clear diagnosis of the problems with our HVAC/heat pump system. We discussed the benefits of using quality (more upfront cost) vs. â builderâ s gradeâ equipment â that most of us have had, and eventually recognize the downside. The work took significantly longer than originally proposed but they did it â rightâ without altering the price. Any job requiring skilled service will cost more than you plan; however, their excellent workmanship and positive service-oriented attitude, was worth it for us. Finally, they treat d our home like it as theirâ s...protecting our floors, carpets, walls, etc from messy materials and â cleaning upâ when complete! It is a challenge finding good service...if you are willing to pay a little mor for quality, friendly, professional service, Hunt will provide it. Thank you"

"Roy was responsive, making a visit the day we called about the drained pipes. He called in advance of arriving, and was careful with his tools to avoid any unnecessary mess. He also wore booties to protect the floor. Best of all, he was careful about testing the lowest-cost solution before bringing in larger tools and incurring more charges. Within a half hour he'd addressed all the leaks and was on his way.

"Josh was prompt, professional, and very knowledgable. The same goes for the guys on his team. They solved my blocked main sewer line problem quickly and literally at a tenth of the price another company had suggested it would cost."

"The service was excellent. Jesse, the owner, was earlier than the scheduled time, very professional, left the work area clean, and used the back door instead of walking through the main part of the house. Scheduled an appointment for an estimate and Jesse came out the same day. The work was completed the next morning. Very efficient gentleman and answered all questions of concern. I will be calling Jesse for any future plumbing needs."

"They did an excellent job! I was worried about mold in the basement and they found some, destroyed it completely then water proofed! I've already told my neighbors about this company and I'd hire them again! The crew was very professional and took time to answer any questions I had."

"We've used Constantly Running for plumbing issues such as fixture replacements and pipe leaks and have been very satisfied with work performed by James Russell, proprietor, and his staff.  We'd had them out to install a new garbage disposal and snake a slow bathtub drain.  While cleaning out the drain James discovered that there was a small hole in the drain pipe that had been covered by accumulations of debris that once removed, allowed water to drain through the hole onto the ceiling of the room below.  In conversations about the state of the bathroom in general, we'd mentioned that it was our intention at some point to have the bathroom renovated. They had to return to replace the defective portion of drain pipe and repair the ceiling of the room below and while they were working, James offered to renovate the bathroom at a price that sounded eminently reasonable.  I wasn't aware that this was a service he offered, but since we've always been impressed with his work, we decided to go ahead with the project.  At first glance if looked straight-forward, in term of removing old wall and floor tile and replacing it, as well as the tub enclosure and the vanity.  It turned out to be a larger project, as the all the walls and flooring need to be taken down to the wood frame.  The walls and flooring were replaced, and new tiles, fixtures and paint that we had chosen and purchased were installed.  The craftmanship was exemplary.  James and his staff were totally competent, eminently courteous and friendly, and the job was done in a timely manner.  The renovation turned out better than we had ever thought possible, and we are very happy to have been able to work with him, and hope to do so again with another bathroom.

FAQs for drain clog or blockage clearing projects in Great Mills, MD

Snaking a simple clog near a tub, toilet, or sink often takes about five minutes. Deeper blockages along the main line can stretch the job to a few hours because the pro must feed extra cable and may need a camera to confirm the pipe is clear. Either way, specialized tools help pros work quickly and keep your drains running for the long haul.

Aggressive snaking can scratch pipes, push debris deeper, or even crack older lines. That risk is low with an experienced plumber who matches the cable size to the pipe and eases the snake through bends instead of forcing it. If you’re unsure of your technique—or your pipes are already fragile—calling a licensed pro is the safest, and often cheapest, move.

Start with simple barriers: mesh screens on every tub, shower, and sink keep hair, food bits, and jewelry out of the pipes. Skip harsh chemicals; a monthly flush with hot (not boiling) water clears light buildup without damaging plastic lines. Finally, practice smart disposal—no grease, wipes, or kitty litter down the drain—and schedule routine cleanings if you have older plumbing.

Roto‑Rooter typically charges a flat $160 to $450 for standard snaking, which may include a quick sewer inspection and basic clean‑out. Exact pricing depends on the clog’s location and complexity. Repairs or part replacements fall outside that flat fee, so ask for a line‑item estimate if your tech spots broken pipe sections or recommends additional work.

Most liquid cleaners rely on caustic chemicals that eat through hair and grime—but they also erode metal and even some plastics over time. Repeated use strips protective pipe coatings and can leave you with leaks or premature failures. If hot water or a plunger doesn’t help, call a plumber for mechanical removal instead of pouring more chemicals down the line.
