"I recently bought this 50 year old and quot;sugar-caneand quot; style home. There was much prep work to be done to this single-wall home - patching nail holes, sanding and filling termite-eaten window sills, careful taping around floor quarter-rounds to keep paint off bamboo flooring, etc. <br /> I chose Wonghams Painting because he was highly recommended as excellent quality for a reasonable price and completed the work as promised (sometimes a challenge to find in Hawaii). <br /> We started with picking colors. I wanted 3 different colors in each bedroom and bathroom, and colors that combined them all in the living room-kitchen. Larry was great in coaching me and advising me on colors to accomplish what I wanted while maximizing use of the paint to make the project more affordable. He selected only the best grade of paint, which cost more, but I intend to live in this house for a long time with 2 large dogs and 3 visiting grandchildren. The paint needed to be durable and last. <br /> He arrived in the morning, moved all my heavy furniture to the center of the room, took down my curtains and pictures, covering everything with his drop-clothes. He spent the entire first part of the day prepping the walls and window-sills. After lunch he painted the first coats on the walls. The next day, he applied the 2nd coat and after that dried, he cut in the trim, windowsills and doors. <br /> Larry had all his own equipment needed nothing from me. He did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day and walking me through the final inspection. He noticed areas to touch up that I never saw. His attention to detail and eye for quality were remarkable and very welcome. He put all furniture back and offered to put the curtains back up (I declined as I have new ones on order). <br /> Larry was respectful, neat, polite, honest, trustworthy and very professional. I'd highly and completely recommend him to anyone having their home or business painted. I work during the day and completely trusted him in my house - he even made friends with my dogs who looked forward to him showing up each day! <br />"
