"The work I asked JP General Construction to undertake was the demolition of a 40 year old concrete in-ground swimming pool that was far past its prime. I couldn't be more pleased with the job done by JP General Construction. When I first contacted the owner, Jaime Peredo, he made time to do a site visit the same day in spite of other projects in progress. I found him and his staff to be flexible, straight forward in describing the details of the work to be done, the techniques and equipment involved and the probable duration of the project. The work ethic and attention to detail was exactly what I was looking for., especially on the part of his employee Carlos who was tireless in some very difficult work breaking up the concrete and rebar with a jackhammer. Initially I realized that this was probably not too common a job, so with due diligence I got several proposals for the work, including one from JP General Construction. I had previously been acquainted with their pool demolition work by a near neighbor who also had a pool demolition done by JP General Construction some years ago. I felt like his only client, as he and his team worked diligently to fix severe problems caused by a second rate renovation of an upstairs bathroom by a previous contractor. Gus was very helpful in giving intelligent advice about dealing with my insurance company, helping me not leave money on the table that was due to us. The only small hiccup was a couple spots that needed to be touched up with the painting after the work was done. Gus was 100% committed to our satisfaction and scheduled the touch ups right away. "Apex Masonry is awesome. We started with a repair of my front stairs so that I could feel comfortable with their work after my previous contractor. Awesome job! After that Apex managed to fit me in with phases to complete the previous installation. The phases were reparging basement walkout, finishing back stairs steps, walls, caps with lighting, and modification of pathway to an extended patio surface, the patio pavers, toppers to columns, wall caps and lighting. The last phase was the retaining wall completion with lights and caps. After paving and fill dirt my project is completed after 2 yrs + start time. James was very professional, he listened to my concerns and he came through for me when others left me high and dry. I can not thank them enough. Highly recommend."

"We have worked with Lorena and Diego on numerous projects on our property - a half-bath buildout in our basement, exterior door and window replacements, and a master bath reno. They are honest and hardworking and provide some of the most reasonable quotes we've seen from other contractors. On this project, DGL worked on floors, doors, and ceilings, and installed canned lighting and fans in our upstairs rowhome rooms in DC. Diego and his team got straight to work at the scheduled date and quick progress was made of demolition and installation. His team was respectful of the place and did an adequate job controlling dust and debris throughout the rest of the house. DGL hired a few subcontractors as well for the job. To refinish our oak stairs and pine floors upstairs, the crew sanded and stained to our specifications (Monocoat), which came out looking great. We'd hoped they could clean up some of the old/decayed wood filler, but we realize it's complicated in a 90-year old home. DGL also hired a plumber to cut and cap a pipe for us, for which I believe we were charged way too much. I don't blame DGL, but the plumber was out of hand with his pricing. We had an electrician run new lines to each of the bedrooms, which resulted in massive chunks of wall being torn out. DGL's team did the drywall/plaster repair and made it look perfect. We were very impressed with their work. Ultimately, DGL truly transformed our upstairs and we are extremely pleased with the result. We'd highly recommend working with DGL for home projects and will continue working with them in the future."
