"My experience with Rogers Basement Waterproofing has been excellent. I initially contacted them a few years ago to get some insight into water issues in our basement. Paul came and gave me some suggestions I could try on my own before doing extensive work. After some time it became apparent I would still need professional work done. I had multiple companies come out, but felt most comfortable with Paul and Rogers Basement Waterproofing. Paul was available anytime I reached out and did an excellent job answering my questions and coming up with solutions for our problem. We ended up having them do waterproofing in our unfinished basement and crawlspace. The crew took extra steps to ensure cleanliness (ex: they put up barriers, covered the steps, etc.). Our basement looks amazing and has been dry since they finished their work. "I told Rob Adams that money was tight and gave him a budget to work with before we went through the house. As we went through the house, he helped me to understand where to put my money and why to put it there, how to make the place enticing for renters and how to do things that would last using inexpensive materials.  He is a bigger tight-wad than I am....which is tough.  We decided to do some things more using more moderately priced materials (carpeting & kitchen floor vinyl) and some things upscale (countertops in kitchen, stainless appliances and upgraded cabinetry in the bath.)   <br /> Just Basements got the job done on time (no thanks to the Lancaster Code Enforcement folks) and actually slightly BELOW budget.  I didn't recognize the place when he was done.  The small house (about 700 SQF) went from what I could only describe as a hopelessly outdated and somewhat trashed house to a very livable, nicely appointed and comfortable home for a couple.  <br /> I have high standards and have not rented for decades but I WOULD LIVE THERE, which is saying a lot.  Rob has vision...he can see opportunities and hazards that I could not, so his creativity was much appreciated. The work was amazing and Rob was a joy to work with.  A more honest, hardworking, straight-talking and devoted contractor would be hard to find.  Thank you Just Basements...you made my day and my year! <br />"

They are very responsive & HONEST!! - After they excavated the sites it was discovered there where Helical piers from a past job of theirs from many years ago... maybe even 20 years ago. Nolan Beery came down to Indianapolis to see the piers first hand - and covered them with their lifetime warranty. I was not the original owner that added the piers... they found the receipt that they did do the work many years ago for a previous owner of my home. They covered majority of the pier sites under their warranty. THERE ARE FEW COMPANIES THAT HAVE THIS HONESTY & INTEGRITEY LIKE ACCULEVEL. Acculevel is one of the best companies I have worked with. "Utmost did a great job in getting my house back into shape! My home is ~27 years old and was at the point in time when repairs were needed. Chimney was failing (spalling of bricks, failing chimney shoulders and mortar), Cedar siding rot, and a couple of deck boards needing replaced. When looking for a company to complete my repairs, I always base my choice on a combination of price, quality and customer service. After getting 3 estimates from 3 highly rated companies, I chose Utmost due to fact they had the ability and skills to complete all the projects versus just the fireplace repair. Mark was timely in coming out for initial review, provided more than one solution to repairs with pro's and con's to each, and provided a written estimate in timely manner. The teams started and completed all work in committed timeframes even with additional work being required for back deck due to identifying additional rotted planking. Work performed included: 1) complete teardown, rebuilding and sealing of chimney 2) Replacement and painting of ~100ft of cedar siding, power washing, and sealing brick on front of house and 3) Replacement and painting of 4x6 deck flooring on back stoop. "Our house is 108 years old and most of the foundation was in terrible shape with bulging, shifting, cracking big enough for possums to get through, and leaking in the front and on both sides. We were on the way to working with another company to do the work when their estimated costs suddenly went sky high and there was no evidence of a contract to show specifically what work they were going to provide. I called Basement Doctor and talked to project manager Rob Forrest, had an evaluation by Al Galko, structural engineer, and met foreman Justin Parks. By the time I had an estimate of cost (expensive, but reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done) and time (also reasonable at 3 to 4 weeks), and a contract to sign that clearly spelled out the work, I was confident in going ahead with Basement Doctor as provider. The main crew of Justin, Matt, and Greg was amazing--considerate, hardworking, professional, punctual, and neat (cleanup every day). Other crews, also efficient and reliable, came to do specific work such as excavating or electric work. The crew found other problems along the way, and there were 2 change orders clearly specifying the work and cost. When a problem cropped up, Justin always let me know right away with one or more solutions already in mind. Disruption to our daily living was minimal. The crew went above and beyond the letter of the contract, for example, building new steps to the front porch after having to tear off the old ones and other such touches that continue to make our lives easier. The workmanship was excellent, and we are very happy with the end result. Our basement is solid, dry, and safe. I believe it can stand proud for the next 108 years. "Myron Hochstetler has our highest recommendation. Jack Woods Plumbing recommended him when we needed to repair a bathroom where the 50-year-old tile grout was leaking. He handled removal of the old tile and wall board, coordinated with the plumber to install modern valves and fixtures, rebuilt the walls, and installed the new tile. The workmanship was exemplary. He asked questions, made recommendations, and noticed potential problems so that they could be avoided instead of repaired. Meticulous measurements and attention to detail made the project successful beyond our expectations. Before starting each day, Myron put down drop cloths and, before leaving, thoroughly cleaned the work area. When we have other projects, we will definitely call on this most diligent and careful professional."

"I have been through this before where you have a rather small job involving concrete. The job is too much to mix by hand but getting a contractor to bid on it is near impossible because the money for them is in driveways and big jobs. I tried last fall without success and in the mean time found out that 2 of my neighbors needed similar work: one driveway apron replaced and one service sidewalk (like mine) replaced. I thought that with 3 smaller jobs we would be able to get someone to bid on it. I contacted 4 contractors from Angie's List and got 2 of them to respond. Tom Haning told me when he would come to look at the jobs, showed up on time and gave me a written quote for each of the 3 jobs before he left. The other contractor was late showing up, gave me verbal quotes at the time and when I asked for written ones, he never responded. The email address on his company website was also invalid. One of the neighbors decided she wanted something different from the original quote and Tom responded and re-quoted her job. We all decided to have the work done and notified Mr. Haning. Since I was going to be out of town for a couple of weeks, we tentatively scheduled for after Memorial Day. Tom contacted us on Memorial Day and said that he would be out the next day at 7am. He showed up at 6:45 and with his crew, formed, hand dug and prepped my sidewalk area. He also prepped the other 2 jobs and then the following day at 8am, the concrete truck arrived and they poured all 3 jobs, finished the concrete and even pulled the forms by the end of the day. Since one of the jobs involved a driveway apron which requires a better concrete mix, the other neighbor and myself benefited as well on our sidewalks. Tom and his crew are very professional and cleaned up the area and the street. Although I don't anticipate any further concrete work, I would not hesitate contacting T.W. Haning Concrete again in the future.  <br />"

"This was our fourth project with the Small Projects Division of Nicholson Builders, and we continue to get excellent results with them. We had a garage with damaged drywall, a ceiling with extensive water damage from a previously leaky roof, a garage door in need of replacement, and no door opener. Bryan Copley, as usual, worked closely with me to make product selections and produce the proposal. Joe and his crew put in a new ceiling, repaired the existing walls, replaced some damaged molding, and painted all the walls and ceiling. The drywall work and painting (one coat of primer and two coats of paint) were exceptionally well done; in fact, it's impossible to tell that the ceiling is multiple sheets of drywall and not a single, smooth surface. The garage door and opener installation was subcontracted to Hamilton Parker. The installer, Ron, did an excellent, efficient job, was thorough, and briefed me completely before leaving. Nicholson wrapped the garage door framing in metal, doing a beautiful job, and painted the door. As is customary, the Nicholson workers were polite, congenial and neat; they swept the garage each night (the project took eight weekdays of continuous work), and made it possible for us to keep our vehicles in the garage overnight. Note that I cannot address pricing, since I do not, as a practice, seek competitive bids and have no basis for comparison. However, we are very pleased with the results, as in the past, feel that we've gotten our money's worth, and will certainly not hesitate to engage Nicholson Builders in the future. As I've said in previous reviews, it's a real luxury to have a firm with their expertise and professionalism willing to take on small projects."
