Kevin and his uncle came out to plant 20 emerald green arborvitae trees along our driveway. They dug all the holes by hand, demonstrating incredible effort and precision. They even moved the excess dirt into a neat pile exactly where we requested. Once the job was done, they thoroughly cleaned up and even blew the driveway free of debris. "When they did the edges, I didn’t want them to put the bricks there. I wanted them to put a trench to separate where the grass started and the flower bed. I asked them to do it because I wanted it to look more professional and not like something crazy I did that wasn’t straight. It looks very crooked like something I would have done. The front they did well. I told him and he came back out and let him off the hook. He acknowledgeable that he could have done a better job. They didn’t’ put the extensions on the down spout far enough. So now I need to re-dig and make them lower or add more top soil above. They didn’t do a professional job as I would have liked. They were supposed to spray and a couple of days later I noticed that none of the vegetation was dying. I called back and they acknowledge it and came back out. They were responsive.    I tried to use them again but they were not responsive."

"I am very pleased.  German was on time and very courteous.  He began by setting the sprinkler system to run so that he could inspect all of the heads, and we walked around the yard together.  We discussed which heads should be adjusted and how, and he patiently made the adjustments while I said "a little more this way, a little more that way..."  German also replaced a broken sprinkler head for no additional charge.
I had purchased a "Big Deal" for the sprinkler system tune-up, because we've owned our house for 3 years and never had the system looked at. It was just the push I needed to tend to my sprinkler. Well worth the $39 I paid. German advised me about proper maintenance of the system, and I was surprised that the winterization was so cheap ($75 for regular customers, $65 for Angie's List members). I already have it on my calendar to call them in the fall.
German and I also discussed which sprinkler heads are poorly located and should be relocated.  Each of the recommended relocations is obvious, because the landscaping has grown up since the original installation.  I absolutely did not feel like he was trying to sell me services I didn't need. I will definitely be calling to schedule the additional work.
The time window they gave me for servicing District customers was also ideal (between 7 am and 8:30 am).

For this job, exactly like past jobs, Donald expertly maneuvered the stump grinding machine into a tight spot in the backyard, ensuring not to damage a chain link fence that the tree was growing through. His crew removed large limbs that were growing over the house, all while dropping large pieces of the tree exactly where they intended. The entire process was perfect as always.
In addition to the two trees, Donald and crew pruned and trimmed small trees and brush from a fence line. They removed all of the over grown branches from around power lines with ease. I can't say enough about how great Edward's Lawn and Tree.
