"We have had a problem with our main building drain line clogging once a year, every year, since we purchased our home 14 years ago. We had it cleared around Thanksgiving of 2022 and it was again blocked only 2 months later. Fed up, I wanted to understand what the exact problem was, and proceed with fixing it. Tim and I spoke at length and therein I explained the history behind the issue (including experience from rodding the line myself on previous occasions). Tim explained what he thought the problem might be, based on his experience, and discussed various options including firm costs (not the "well, it will cost somewhere between $5 and $50,000" BS). We talked for about 30 minutes whereas conversations with other plumbers usually lasted all of 3 minutes wherein they explained how much it would cost, how they expected to be paid, and when they could come out. Tim showed up promptly at the agreed-upon time with Pedro and the two of them went to work. Without going into details, those two spent approximately 4.5 hours working my issue during which time they mechanically rodded the line 5-6 times, ran a camera into the pipe following each rodding, and then hydro-jetted it twice (might have been three times and they inspected the line using the camera after each hydro-jetting as well). I paid extra for the hyrdo-jet but I knew that they would probably need to resort to this following our phone call and again, I understood going into it exactly what the cost would be. These guys really busted their tails (other plumbers were typically in and out in an hour or less) and from what I could actually see via the camera, Tim and Pedro appeared to fix the problem once and for all. I spent a lot of time with them (as an engineer, I am curious by nature) and I felt like there were times when they could have said "Yeah, good enough" but they would talk and say "yeah, we should really do [this] again." In summary, Tim and Pedro were very professional, VERY hard-working, and extremely thorough, and I received a service that I feel was far in excess of that provided by anyone previously. Tim is the only person that I will call in the future should I need this service again (but I doubt it!). Finally, there were not surprise or escalated costs. Fantastic experience! "EXCELLENT! The pipe clogged on a SUNDAY AFTERNOON, of course. Water was leaking into our basement! I started looking for someone with 24 hour service, and no one could come out. Then I got a call from IL Sewer and Drain. Joe said he could be out in about an hour, it was already after 4:30 pm. He came out, and was able to unclog our pipe! But upon inspection, the pipe needed to be replaced. He was able to schedule it for the next morning! The work took a few hours, but was all finished and cleaned up! I would not hesitate to hire them again or give them an outstanding reference."

"Week before last we thought we had a clogged toilet.. It was apparently the main sewer line. We called a commercial franchise plumber out and $550 later we thought everything was fixed. This was on a Thursday. By the following Monday we were experiencing the same thing. We call them back out because it was a 6 month warranty. This sewer line was CLOGGED... his team dug the hole, replaced the pipes, cleaned them out and discovered tree roots and 4 feet of stuff that shall not be named. He & his team installed a cleanout in case this happened again we wouldn't have an issue getting it cleaned. This company hands down had excellent service and the owner was respectful, nice and delivered what he promised plus a 10 year warranty ."

"The main reason we will stop using Reliance’s services: we were promised boiler drains that we never got. Boiler drains do not need washers which is why we wanted them. The job took four days. July 6th we wasted a whole day waiting for service. We called Reliance immediately because we have used their plumbing services for years. We were very disappointed with their service. A plumber was scheduled to come and install two cut offs and replace faucet washers. This plumber promised us two premium quarter turn boiler drains for hot and cold water feeds (we never did get these boiler drains). He recommended replacing the faucet. The plumber did not have all the parts, so we scheduled him to come back July 5th. July 5th the plumber we had spoken to called in sick. Another plumber was assigned to the work. This plumber did not seem to know what the previous plumber had estimated for the job. We showed the new plumber the work order. He went to work. After he had changed the faucets and installed the cut offs, we asked about the quarter turn boiler drains. He said they could not find the parts locally and we did not need them anyway. He recommended replacing the old cement tub. The drain could no longer be hooked up to the old tub. We sheduled him to come back July 6th. We requested the boiler drains again. July 6th. The plumber was scheduled to come between noon and 2:00 pm. The office manager called to say that the plumber could not get there until 2:00-4:00pm. We understand that sometimes rescheduling happens. However, around 4:15 the office manager called again. He wanted to reschedule for Monday. We had been waiting all day and this was the third day. We wanted a plumber to come. The office manager said OK he would send someone. The plumber who was supposed to come called us and said it was too late to come. Could we schedule for Monday. We almost called another plumbing company at this point. We scheduled for early Monday morning. Monday July 9th The plumber came early Monday morning on time. He did not bring the boiler drains. This time he said the boiler drains were to unusual to install and we didnt need them. He redid some of the copper piping because he was installing a new tub. The copper piping has some unusual twists because the new tub was a different size from the concert tub. The plumbing job was professionally done, but it took four days. We paid for broiler drains we never got."
