"We had a leak around the chimney area of our roof. Rick initially diagnosed the leak as from old flashing in need of replacing. Was quoted $1250 for the repair. They had their guys come out promptly and replace the flashing all around the base of the chimney where it meets the roof. Doing a nice clean job. However, upon the next rain event that we had (about 1 week later), the leak was still vey apparent. Rick came back out to look at it again, and realized that he had mis-diagnosed the problem, and that the leak was actually coming from another area where the fascia board on the side of the roof penetrates the chimney stack. He was very apologetic and reduced the amount that I owed him for the repair by 50%. He then referred me to a stucco contractor to correct the actual problem. He was very honest, and I appreciate his being willing to work with us. To be honest the flashing probably needed to be replaced anyway in my 30 year old house."

They are very competitive on pricing. Everything was included in his price, including any damaged wood that they might find when they removed the tiles. Other contractors charged additional for any unseen damage. His crew was always on time, were professional, did the project in a timely manner and a very good job of cleanup at the end of each day. "Sept. 2024. We own a single story 2150 square feet home in Yorbe Linda. The spanisch tile roof is now 35 years old and it was leaking in one spot. ,We decided to replace all the underlying tar paper for the whole roof. We got four estimates, One was very close to California Roof experts, and two's costs 20% more. California Roof experts was the only company that offered a 20-year warranty on their work. They use a new superstrong woven silicone roofing paper to give this guarantee. Plus they were the only one that would reset the tiles on commercial wood strips to hold the tile in place. The wood strips have 3/8" thick rubber pads that will the water, if any, to allow to run under the strips. They did reuse the sheet metal that is places at the low point of two sided (gulley). I was skeptical of the sheet metals condition and I had Arthuro bring the sheet metal down for inspection and they showed no rust spots. I did however have Arthuro hammer flat some protruding sheet metal spots where the previous nails were so as not to cut the thin woven silicone paper. Also, we insisted on using city inspection, for which we paid, $330, Once the roofers started, they had always a full crew on the job, and we never had to call them up or prod them. Each evening, they cleaned up around the house before the left. There was no request for additional tiles, cement or any other item. Once the job was completed, it passed city inspection the first time. We are very satisfied with the company, their management, and their workers. Gunter H. Sanders"

Taking off an old roof and installing a new one is a messy business. Valley Oaks Roofing & Repairs did an incredible job cleaning up each and every day. Not a nail or staple to be found on the ground. Value-wise I think Magdelano and his crew do a great job at a very reasonable price point. Our entire roof was removed and replaced within a week, including painting and replacing hundreds of feet of facia that contained dry rot. "I developed a number of leaks during the rainstorms this spring. I went on HomeAdvisor to find a roofer. I received 2 quotes, one from Zenith Roofing Services and one from a company out of the county. Brian, the owner of Zenith was at my house within 2 days and gave me a professionally prepared proposal. Brians proposal covered removing major portions of the cement tiles, replacing the underlayment with updated materials. The other proposal just spot treated the leaking areas. The choice was easy as the prices were comparable and I prefer to work with local contractors. As soon as the rains stopped Brian was here and 4 days later (working through the weekend) my roof was repaired. Brian is a professional and I would recommend him without reservation."
