"Mike was very consistent. If he said he would be here, he was here. Quick response on quotes, hard working crew, beautiful plants and always so helpful. If he did not know something he would find out for you. He also called to stay in touch if he got busy or the weather was not cooperating. I highly recommend."

"I have made a couple of trips to Genest recently. What really impressed me was that the three different gentlemen I worked with on my visits were very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient as I asked many questions. I think the information they gave me will help me when I talk to a contractor about doing some landscaping for me. <br />"

"I had hired Rotten Rock a few winters ago for tree service. I had nearly a dozen very large pine trees that were very tall and within falling distance of my house. At first I was overwhelmed by the thought of any tree professional tackling this job, but then I met Henry and his crew. The job was completed much to my satisfaction, and I was impressed with the level of safety and efficiency. Just recently, my water supply line from my 100 year old shallow dug well to pump (in house) began to fail. No wanting to waste any time nor chance, again I called Rotten Rock. Within 36 hours Henry arrived with his machine and new water line.....and by Noon the job was done....Wow! Thanks Henry & Todd! -Michelle in Madison <br />"

"<p> <br /> <br /> The landscaping design was not done by John. He was quick to point our some issues with the plan and a way to correct it. The weather was less than desirable however, John and his crew did there best to work with it-( rain, rain, and more rain, hot humid days). The amount of work they accomplished each day was measurable. The work area cleaned at the end of every day(swept driveway ,tools put away, etc). The attention to detail was appreciated. They were respectful of our neighbors and us. Truly Prays Hardscaping and Landscaping is a company to hire if you want something done and done right. John and his crew are not the least expensive landscaper in town however I believe John and his crew will give you the best best value for your money. It was money well spent and I would recommend them to anyone!! Thank you again John, Jess and John for bringing a 17 year old dream to life!</p> <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Oxford, ME

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
