Our Homeowners’ Insurance Company created considerable stress with their ultimatum for full replacement of our roof by a date that is problematic in our region. Despite the looming date and two late winter storms, they handled our project with ease. The team was both polite and respectful. They worked tirelessly to dusk most days and took great care of our exposed rooftop those windy and rainy nights. And when they left each evening, their equipment was always tightly stored away and the yard swept of roof debris. We so appreciated their level of professionalism. "In the first week of October 2020, I called New Era Roofing Inc. and asked for a free estimate for roofing work I wanted done. (Note: I had also called several other Roofing Contractors in the Reno/Sparks area and they were short, almost annoyed by my call. They all said they charged $250.00 to $350.00 to come out to walk the roof and give an estimate for work requested. Plus, they said they could come in 2 to 3 weeks.) So, when I called New Era Roofing Inc., Jasmine Reyes, Office Manager/Job Estimator, answered; she was very pleasant and personable. She listened well and asked clarifying questions about my roofing job and the critical short-fused timing to get it completed. She then scheduled Jose Perez, the Owner, to come out the next day to give a free estimate. Jose came on time and walked our roof, took measurements and photos of the roof job site. Jose explained - with photo examples from prior jobs that New Era Roofing Inc. had done - our job to install new gutter edging on our existing 2-story home would entail: removing the first 3-tiers/rows of cement edge tiles, installing new felt paper, new batting, and galvanized metal edging; and then refitting exact tiles in their respective spots. There were also some cracked and broken tiles that were pointed out by Jose during his initial inspection and these were included in the job bid to also be done. Jose said he'd give the information to Jasmine and she would, in turn, Email me their work/job bid (including labor and all materials) the next day. Sure enough Jasmine Emailed the job bid to me the next day; and, she followed up by calling me directly to ensure I received it and to let her know if I had any questions. Upon review of the job bid I called Jasmine to ask how best to move quickly to get the job started. Jasmine said she'd personally drive over to our house; she did and we signed the contract and gave her the deposit to begin the job next week; now that was quality service, above and beyond! So, first thing the following week, Jose and his 6-man roofing crew showed up as scheduled. They took two full days to do the job; they worked from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., taking only an hour for lunch and a short break in the mid-afternoon. The work crew were all very professional, hard working, had great attention to detail, and busily went about each of their assigned duties without needing to be told. My wife commented that the work crew kept to the job at hand, i.e., they talked little, kept eyes focused on their immediate task; and, they didn't spend time gazing into other neighbors yards or pausing to admire the view from high above. Upon the completion of the work, Jose shared pictures of the various stages of the job and said Jasmine would be forwarding them to me the following day along with my final job invoice marked "paid in full," which she did. In addition, I was most impressed that Jose's work crew found a few roof features that were not done properly during the initial construction of our house; they took it upon themselves to make the necessary changes/repairs to correctly bring them up to code. The work crew totally cleaned up all debris and leftover materials upon completion of the job. They even put aside a dozen or so spare tiles (that they culled out from the upper roof) to be used in any future tile repairs; a true quality of professional roofers, i.e., having the foresight to plan ahead! YES, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEW ERA ROOFING INC. to anyone that needed timely, honest, reasonably and competitively priced, roofing work to be done on their home or business!! "Very decent and moral people. I liked the feeling of really good people, especially in today's devided world. Real good price and they even did quite a bit of real wood repair, before re-roofing. They didn't charge me thing for this. Not even for extra lumber, etc. Flynn roofing also repaired my detached garage shingles , because I asked and was more than willing to pay for these extra services. Men of their word. The home area was left like the job was never done. The workmanship was superior as well as the quality and beauty and warranty. There were 2 1/2 days of work, and the crew cleaned up each day, and also went all around the building after the roof was finished, and left the place spotless!! The application of the synthetic roof deck barrier and leak barrier plus the flashing around the roof edges and valleys will give my new roof added protection. The roof intake vents and roof ridge exhaust vents are good features. The installation team were efficient, courteous and friendly. They got the job done a day earlier than originally planned.
