"I used Movers USA at the beginning of this year to move my 10’ X 15’ storage unit from NE Balt. City to an apartment in Asheville, NC. Prior to my selecting this company, I checked out 6 or 7 other companies also listed on Angi, and along with Movers, seriously interviewed and went over to another company and met with them in person. I dealt with Movers’ owner Sharon Nahoom a number of times through email and in a couple of calls. In addition, I went over to his office located in the very large company storage facility in Jessup. I was impressed with this storeroom being well organized and its’ sheer size and the size and cleanliness of a truck he showed me. In addition, Sharon was friendly and overall fairly accommodating. Mr. Nahoom was the only one honest and clear with me, that as I personal had packed everything, and even though most boxes were clearly labeled, no insurance carrier would insure them as they had not been professionally packed. This honesty saved me at least $300 to $500 on needless insurance. In addition, Sharon was flexible with me on matching some terms that the other company I was serious dealing with offered—-no charge for an extra day of storing my items in the truck, extra steps to the apt, and on pick-up and delivery dates. He was also reasonable with his price—-being on the lower end of the scale from the 7-8 companies I had quotes from. The cheapest by far, was a company located in Washington state that used contracted movers—-but I didn’t want to take a chance with this The pick-up went smoothly, starting on time, and with the foreman—-Fernando, and four younger movers emptying my storage unit into their truck in a couple of hours. Two days later in Asheville, Fernando showed with a lady helper—-but no-one else. He managed to do the bulk of the moving himself up 30 steps—-as the apt was on the third floor. A number of times I had to assist him from his unloading the top couple of boxes—-as he would just carry them up on his back with a large canvas strap! If I had not helped some with some boxes would have fell to the floor. He stated he was in ‘a rush’ as he wanted to get back through the mountains down her before the forecasted storm early that afternoon. Things were rushed as fair as quick decisions by me which room specific boxes and items were put—-as we were dealing with the realities of one mover in a rush, with nice woman periodically bringing up a few more things up. Overall the move went smoothly, but I have concerns that just having one man with some extra help was “putting almost all the eggs in one basket”—-if he had gotten hurt, plus he had done all the 8 plus hour drive here, and was doing the same on the way back. Only thing broke was a worthless drinking glass that I had poorly packed. As I had about 280 boxes I wanted to open them all and see that there was no damaged items. I had taken some items to my sisters in Montgomery Co and then took down most this when I headed south a few days after the storage unit move, and given a number things to Goodwill —-so not sure about a couple of things I thought I still had. Overall I would have given this company somewhere around a “B+” grade but as there are no ‘pluses’ or ‘minuses’ that is why I gave Movers 4 stars rather than the 5."

"I move out of state. My delivery was late. I filed a claim that was a waste of time. They come up with a settlement of $74. Make that make sense. They broke 2 glass tables, broke a standing fans, broke a few drinking glasses that was in a box labeled fragile (glasses). The majority of my boxes were damaged like they were kicked or thrown around. I was charge for the use of an elevator that wasn't used. The only thing I'm thankful for is they didn't damaged my 2 televisions or my large glass table. $74 doesn't cover anything. I paid them thousands of dollars. I'm highly upset and pissed. I will not ever use them again. "

"Eastland Movers was AMAZING! Luka coordinated my move from a one bedroom apartment to a townhouse. Alejandro and Victor arrived timely, appropriately communicated and were efficient/careful with moving my belongings. I had mirrored furniture as well and they handled it all so well. "From communication to hands on they were great. After the delivery of our large 3 door commercial cooler was delayed from its scheduled time they quickly adjusted their schedule to work with ours. Once the guys were there they got it moved gently and safely from the delivery spot, up a couple of steps and squeezed through the just large enough door. It had to be maneuvered just right to get it to stand upright once inside. The guys were awesome and took a lot of care to get this inside for us. "

They made the process seamless easy and worry free.. all of my items arrived to my destination, the same as they left if not better. Good company operation with a good group of staff members that actually care about your items and treat them as though is their own personal belongings.
