"Andrew and his crew did a beautiful job on my kitchen. The remodel included removing and replacing drywall on 2 walls and the ceiling, recessed lighting, new tile flooring, new cabinets, granite countertops and new backsplash. They paid a lot of attention to details to ensure that everything looks good. That is important to me since I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist. From the start, the goal seemed to be to provide the best outcome that my budget would allow. They always kept me in the loop when unexpected issues popped up, which is bound to happen in a 63 year old house. In addition to the planned work, they ended up replacing insulation, adding an additional gas shut off valve and re-doing the wiring so it is all grounded. (None of it was grounded before.) All of that plus some plumbing revisions added up to an additional $3680, but it all needed to be done and done properly. Lauren Baldwin (Cabinets by Amy and Lauren) came up with a beautiful design and was very helpful and patient through several changes that were needed to stay within my budget. We changed the countertops 3 times which also required changes to flooring and backsplash choices. The end result looks like something you would see on HGTV! All in all, it was easy to work with Andrew and his team. They cleaned up every night, kept me updated and answered all my questions. They brought in experts to assist with plumbing, drywall and some electrical issues. With the exception of the above noted additional work and a few days delay on the granite, due to a machine breakdown, I think it all went as smoothly as could be expected in an older home. In the end, I went over my original “hoped for” budget and even a even a little over the upper end, due to the extra costs but you get what you pay for. I would recommend A.B. Graham Contractors and would hire again if I need something done."

"Excellently! I had been trying to find a contractor to repair the flooring on the second floor since August. I had a list of about 12 handymen referred by Angie's List. One was tied up until the third week of September, so we agreed on the third week. I started calling him the second week of September to confirm. After leaving messages on Angie's List and leaving two voice mails without any response, I began looking again. Three providers did not work in Philadelphia. Finally, as I was going down my list, I contacted Randy Schaff, Handyman. From the start, I was impressed. First, because he did not hesitate when I explained about these long squeak no more screws that could be installed directly through carpet to tighten weak floor boards and stop squeaky floors. He responded, "Yes, I have them on my truck. " Well, at last, there is someone in the business who knows what I am talking about when I explained about the long screws that could go directly through carpet into the floor boards around the joist, break off below the subfloor and stop the floor from squeaking. Randy did not hesitate; he knew exactly what I was talking about. We discussed the work I wanted done. Within a week, I was on his schedule. Randy and his partner showed up and completed the work. I read a lot of reviews on Angie's List. Most of the reviews comment on punctuality and professionalism, which is good. I'm not knocking that. Randy more than met being punctual and professional, he was thorough, helpful, and comfortable with himself, which made me feel right at home around him. Another thing I liked about Randy was the fact that he texts information, thus providing quick feedback, and quick responses to questions. Would I hire Randy again-ABSOLUTLEY! If you are looking for a thorough knowledgeable, confident handyman, try Randy Schaff Handyman. You will not be disappointed. His pricing is, in my opinion, very fair. He and his partner were at the worksite an entire day, 9:30 until after 4pm and completed six plus small jobs, and three big jobs."

"Working with Sandy from Dasan Building Group felt more like hanging out with a friend rather than doing a construction project. It was the rare time that I worked with a contractor and still liked them after the project was completed. I hired Dasan Building Group to fit out the interior of a new Hand & Stone location. "Their work turned out good. I still need to connect with them for something that we didn't get to finish but I just hadn't reach out to them. There seems to be a little bit of a confusion about the deal that I bought because he got to outsource his handyman I guess, but other than that, the work that I requested did get done overall so I was pretty happy with it. The problem that came up as they were doing that is they switch the lights off and on and I had some outlets that blew out because of that. The guy that was supposed to fix that, I hadn't connected back with them to actually come back and do it because I've been so busy. I fixed a couple of them myself just for it to get it done and scheduling is problem because I live in Philadelphia but I work in New York so I just did it myself. It seems like some of his handyman are very knowledgeable and they got the job done. The person I got even though he worked on my shelves just wasn't a primary electrician, he just knew other things so people should be very specific about what their needs are so they could assign the right handyman."
