"We hired VBR Roofing to replace our aging roof and they did a very good job. They were very personable; timely; reasonable in price; clean; and the new roof looks great."

"This was my first experience dealing with a roofer regarding the repairs I needed. The process went smooth and was better than I thought it will be. Robbie Pierce came out on schedule and repair some shingles on my roof and provided other services to my roof that was needed. I am very satisfied with the work that was done and the cost was very reasonable. He also came out the next day to repair some vinyl siding that came off my garage and provided extra work that was needed to secure the rest of the siding. The cost for this work was also very reasonable. Overall, I am pleased with the service and cost I received for both my home roof and garage siding. Pierce Siding & Window Co. was my first choice and will be my last and only choice."

"Excellent work, pleasant to work with. they cleaned and coated my 120 year old tin roof. The only delay was they were shorted materials by their vendor. I don't blame them, but whole-heartedly recommend them for any roofing needs."

"Very Happy repeat customers, The Shenandoah Home Improvements crew has put a new roof on two homes, a complete siding job on another, and a siding repair job on yet another. All of the work has been top notch and the customer service is always first class. Whether the job has been a big one or small, we have always been treated like the most valuable customers. Glenn has personally come out on the weekends to meet with us and discuss our projects, offering suggestions, but never "hard selling" us on products and services. It's always truly a conversation about our needs and a collaboration. Shenandoah Home Improvements' work always gets noticed by the neighbors and they are quick to comment on the quality of the job. If you are looking for a contractor who is honest and dependable I would highly recommend calling Glenn, it's like having a trusty friend doing the work every time. Sincerely, Jay and Tracy Gaylor"

FAQs for metal roofing repair projects in Roanoke, VA

Maintaining your soffit is essential. You must inspect it twice yearly to catch any clear signs of deterioration. Look for cracks, mold, rotted wood, sagging sections, chipped paint, or missing boards. If these issues are detected, contact a professional immediately to repair or replace the damaged soffit and protect your home’s structural integrity.

To maintain your fascia boards and soffits, inspect them regularly to protect your roof and home's structure. Clean your gutters to remove debris and prevent moisture buildup. Repaint any damaged sections to keep moisture at bay. Upgrading drip edges and vents improves airflow and dispels moisture efficiently, helping you avoid severe damage and costly repairs.

While installing a new soffit over an existing soffit isn't common, it may be necessary in some older homes. If removing the original soffit could damage delicate structures, a professional might recommend installing the new soffit without complete removal. Always consult a qualified professional to assess the condition and ensure this method is safe and effective.

When hiring someone for soffit and fascia repair, choose a specialist with proven roofing and gutter systems expertise. A knowledgeable contractor will thoroughly inspect your home and provide a straightforward repair or replacement plan. Check online reviews and ask for references to ensure you receive high-quality service that delivers lasting results and strong protection for your home.
