"Steve DeBlauwe of Concrete Paving Plus caused major structural damage to my home by cutting corners, ignoring standards, and refusing responsibility. He poured concrete over old Spanish tile without bonding agent, surface prep, or rebar?only fibermesh?despite warnings. This slab was the base for all major upgrades: kitchen, flooring, cabinetry, windows. Three engineers confirmed it was dangerously inadequate and must be removed and redone. Steve falsely blames trenching unrelated to his work?it was for pool plumbing and was done before he arrived. He also falsely claims we waited three years to report issues. In reality, we contacted him multiple times within the first year and sent a formal demand letter. He ignored every call, text, and message. His shortcuts have caused over $40,000 in damage.
