"I am unhappy with the end result. The two bathroom wall lights were installed without communicating until after the installation was completed that both lights had soldering defects that rendered them crooked. The electrician knew this while installing as he told me he made the decision to install the horizontal bar that held the lights level instead of the back plate. The back plate is crooked on the wall and some of the the cups that held the lights are also crooked. The lights are unacceptable and I am sending them back, but now I have the added expense of having to hire someone to uninstall them. I would have appreciated to have been included in the decision of how to proceed when the electrician first noticed it versus when he was ready to leave. I am even more unhappy because the electric box on one light was installed an inch to the right of the faucet. The electrician did not discuss with me about the reasoning for this or discuss solutions, let alone mention this defect the day of the installation. I noticed it the next day and called the office a day later. I was told it could not be installed centered above the faucet because of flaws in the drywall and patch. I don't find this believable. During the phone call, there was no discussion of them rectifying the problem. It looks horrible and now I have to hire someone to assess it and correct it. I gave a rating of C because I did get one electric box and dimmer installed correctly and the two men were pleasant. I was charge $125 an hour and $12 for parts. The two men were at my house for 2 hours."

He found a couple issues in my current house while doing the work and made sure to take care of those for me as well. "First, Silk City Electric wasn't the first electrician I hired but a previous electricians helper dropped the ball on showing up on time and he technically had three days (yes, during the Memorial Day weekend) to install 3 4-plug outlets for my network server room and still did not come out on Memorial Day morning like he offered. I couldn't even get him to answer the phone when I called earlier. With all this said Marty from Silk City Electric, LLC happened called me back to see if he could still come out and give me an estimate as promised earlier in the week. So since the previous electrician did not show in the time frame he told me, Marty was my guy! Marty offered to do the work on Memorial Day morning at the price the other electrician (helper) gave. Marty was very professional but very friendly with a great deal of personality. I like professionalism for sure but you will win me over with a great personality and disposition, let alone good work. He performed the work in the time frame he gave me (I think early) and even doubled checked his work before leaving to make sure I was happy with the end result. I will be calling Silk City Electric, LLC for ALL my electrical needs. Fan installation and burned out outlet next! Also should mention Marty has been in the business for over 25 years and given he just started his new company in January 2015, as a small business owner myself, I was happy to give him a shot and he met my expectations."
