"From initial quote to final day of construction today, our experience with Sheds by Keith was beyond exceptional!! Trever, Garrett, and William could not have done a better job!! Very professional, personable, knowledgeable in their individual jobs but also worked very well in supporting each other during construction. It was very obvious that they thoroughly enjoy what they're doing and have great pride in what they have accomplished!! They kept an extremely clean workspace, picked up everything (tools, trash, etc.) every day before leaving...worked very hard from 7 AM to 2:30 or so...very short breaks, including lunch breaks. Finished our entire shed in 3 days!! Eric did a great job getting us quote and answering questions. Keith actually brought trailer so we could meet him at start of job. We are already spreading the word about how great Sheds by Keith is!!"

"This work spanned six to eight weeks owing to weather delays. All work was coordinated with the customer including extensive communications between the primary contractor and his subs. All work was done from to satisfactory to excellent in quality. Mr. Long and his crews worked very hard long hours. The work required breaking out some bed rock. Mr. Long's design work was excellent and visionary. This project began as a basic plan to replace the retaining wall and install the steps up to the street from the drive apron. Their work took us from a home drive and entrance which resembled a delivery entrance and turned it into a show piece approach to our beloved home.
Any issues which arose as the work progressed was immediately addressed in a positive and effective manner by the general contractor, Billy Long, Gardens at the Ridge proprietor and all his subcontractors. They accommodated all of our thoughts and ideas and addressed some minor complaints very effectively, making adjustments at no additional charge. All work was completed as expeditiously as possible given the adverse weather. All work came in at or under budget. Based on other contractors we had estimate portions of this project, this contractor was somewhat higher but within 10-15%. However because of excellent recommendations from satisfied customers over many years we went with them. In any case we believe we got what we paid for and more. This project completion exceeded our wildest expectations. We unequivocally recommend the folks from Gardens at the Ridge to anyone considering any type of landscaping or stone work."

"Everything went great. Danny Gomez came out and gave me a quote. He was quite a bit friendlier than other contractors who had come out and bid the same job. He showed up when he said he would and gave me a good estimate. I felt more comfortable with his design and price than the other guys I had out. He gave me some pictures of his previous work to show my wife.

The job was completed on time and on budget, with no overages. There were a few weather delays, but they worked even when it was freezing outside. His crew was very friendly, and they handled the dumpster and permits. They spent nearly an entire day just on cleanup and leveling after they were done building the wall and putting the fence up.

My wife was very impressed with the look of the natural stone.

Overall, it went way smoother than I thought."

"I enjoyed working with this company. What better company to dig under my house than a foundation repair company, that know where to and where not to dig. They worked quickly and I was able to stay in my house while the work was being done. They dug from the outside of my house and went under the foundation. They made it quick and easy for the plumber to get in and do their job, too. They are honest, and only did the work that needed to be done. I highly recommend these folks!"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Wichita Falls, TX

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
