"Brooks was very prompt in returning my call and communicated very well throughout the whole process. He sheetrocked and taped a remodeled section of our house as well as doing a full ceiling overlay with knockdown all by himself. He's a working machine!! Overall, Brooks' work was very good and I would highly recommend him for any project you are working on!"

"Ivan installed new vinyl siding and three new windows in our home. When the old fiberboard siding was removed, lots of wood rot and poor insulation were uncovered due to poor workmanship done by the original builder. Ivan fixed all the problems and we are so very happy with the result. Our house looks great and our furnace runs way less since the drafts are gone. Ivan and his crew perform high-quality work; they are honest, friendly and their communication was excellent. We highly recommend Art Quality Renovations and will hire them for all of our house projects going forward."

"I had been given the run around from another company for over a month and needed the work completed. I went onto Home Advisor and within 2 minutes of submitting my request, Garry called me. He was at my home to check out the scope of work within 15 minutes of our phone call. That was 3 days ago and the work is complete! He really knows what he is doing, is personable and kept the area clean. Thank you Garry!!"

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
