"I had a little plumbing emergency a little after 9 PM in which a valve on an ancient water softener in my utility room began leaking very badly, turning into a stream rather than the slow drop it had been for a long time. I tried turning the valve all the way off, but it continued with a steady leak. I tried wrapping plumber’s tape around it, but to no avail. I started getting panicky, thinking of it getting worse and worse and my utility room being flooded by morning and my well run dry. I looked up 24 hour plumbers in the Gloucester, Virginia area in a Google search. I called one and only got voice mail. I left a voice mail, waited a minute, then called another one, again just getting the voice mail. My panic mode was increasing faster than my leak. I called the next advertised 24-hour plumber at Comfort Climate Heating and Air Conditioning and, thank goodness, Jason answered the phone. I texted photos of my water softener to him and he looked at them and gave me verbal instructions for bypassing the water softener so the streaming leak would stop, but I would still have water coming out my faucets. What a relief it was to see the stream of water slow down, then become s drip, then stop altogether. Disaster averted! Jason would not accept payment for the telephonic assistance he provided, but when I am ready to get a new water softener installed, Climate Control will definitely be the one I call!"

He talked me through every process of the work he was doing, and instilled a sense of optimism in my mind; knowing that I had currently been in a state of worry and defeat, as I was roasting in my own house. Jeremy s demeanor was professional, his explanations were comprehensible, and his work was done in a very timely manner. "Everything turned out well in the end. They had a few problems on the way but they fixed them. We’ve had them out for different things like the furnace, air conditioning and things like that. The main problem this time was, it wasn’t the same person that came out each time. One person made a mistake and then someone else had to come out and fix it. The person who made the mistake should have noticed they were doing something wrong. I don’t know if they were less experienced or if they didn’t pay attention or what it was. When we called and said there was a problem, they did get it corrected. They sent out somebody I guess with more experience and he took care of it. Overall I’m happy and would use them again. They did our furnace several years ago. I haven’t called or compared their prices to anyone. I have talked to friends who have had similar things done and they said the price is probably about right. It wasn’t a very professional way to did it though. I would use their services again in the future."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"Excellent experience.  We have used H&B exclusively for our plumbing and heat pump work for the last few years.  They are extremely responsive and do what it takes to get your problem resolved as quickly as possible.  Good communication about options or if it can't be fixed within the same call.  In this instance, the issue was a bad control board and the part was still under warranty years after heat pump purchase.  But the amazing thing is we didn't buy the heat pump from H&B.  We purchased it from another vendor before we started using H&B.  H&B determined the part was still under warranty, handled the acquisition of the replacement part with the manufacturer and all the associated paperwork.  The part was overnighted and installed the next day.  Meanwhile H&B were wonderful enough to haul our heavy old window unit A/C out of storage and put in the bedroom so that our senior dog would be comfortable overnight during the record breaking heat.  We've been in this area/house for almost 20 years and have used cheaper options but learned you get what you pay for.  H&B: dependable, responsive, courteous & performs quality work that they stand behind!

"It was wonderful. I spent quite a bit more than the big deal and it was for an additional I can't remember what it is called. The air duct cleaning was great and then when we talked about this other addition to the system I went along with it because I have animals in the house and I have bad allergies and I wasn't sure after I got it, if it was good investment since then I have changed my mind, it is an excellent investment and it repaired my air completely and my health is much better from having it. I would use them again."
