"Great company! I met them at a home show and had them come out and give a bid on taking out my old heater and replacing with a heat pump and air handler. Jeremy came out and gave a very thorough bid with several options on compressor/air handler combo. We ended up choosing a middle of the line solution that was very competitively priced in comparison with the other bids we got. What sold me was their attention to customer service and the ratings they received. This was not a cheap system and I wanted someone who would stand by their work and work with us to our satisfaction. I am very pleased. The installer crew showed up on time and went right to work. They found some wiring issues and fixed them as well at no change to bid. They spent a long day but did it all as planned. They took the time to do a walkthrough on the electronic air cleaner and on setting up the new thermostat (it even has weather forecasts on it!) and operation of the system. Again, very happy with that touch. I am also planning on a yearly maintenance contract that extends the warranty of the system if I continue to use them (which I will) for up to ten years. Janice in the front office kept me well informed throughout the process as well, even scheduling inspections. This is a great company that listens to the consumer and does what they say they will. I Highly recommend them to anyone!!"

"The tech discovered that the pipe leading to the expansion tank was corrosive and that there was water in the expansion tank. I was quoted a replacement, including labor, and the expansion tank was replaced. After completion, the tech showed me the inside of the pipe and it was quite disgusting and almost completely clogged. He confirmed my water heater was in excellent condition otherwise. In addition, I happened to have another worker at my home and when I told them what I paid for the replacement, he exclaimed it was a good price."

Took a very long time to get someone out to install the new filter set up at the air intake, with poor communication on their part. That part of the job was done poorly and had to be redone at my insistence. Also had the red warning light come on. Called about that and no follow through. Again. "As much as I detest the City of Seattle's current plan to force homeowners to convert from oil heat by 2028 ("Kill the Poor" indeed), I have to admit that it was the nudge I needed to act. I found Bel Red through Mitsubishi's NoMoreOilHeat website that partners with the City to offer $1500 rebates on select systems. A heat pump seemed like the smartest decision, considering natural gas is also in the City's crosshairs. Thanks to Bel Red's winter sales event, along with the City's rebate, I saved roughly $6500. The oil-to-heat pump conversion was a 2-day event. Day 1 involved decommissioning the oil furnace and installing both the inside and outside heat pump units. Day 2 involved connecting and starting up the heat pump. This took place in mid-March, so Bel Red left me with, ironically, a couple of those oil-filled space heaters to keep me warm overnight. (Newsflash: They didn't!) I hadn't quite considered the ramifications of converting heating systems during wintertime, but it saved a lot of money. Still, if I had it to do over, I'd spend the night at a friend's house. I continued to feel that to-the-marrow cold well into Day 2, anxiety rising as the crew tried to locate the subcontracted electrician, who was late. Let's talk about Bel Red's crew. With one small exception, everyone was fantastic: Joe, the salesman, who put up with my early morning crankiness and knew exactly when to back off and let me think; Yolanda, who answered many, many (and I mean many) questions; Ray and his crew, who were efficient, professional, and made Day 1 as smooth as can be; all the assistants and subcontractors, even the electrician who was late; the office staff, especially the woman who got such a kick out of my telling her that trying to get information from Honeywell is like trying to nail water to the wall; and especially Russ, the Day 2 technician, who saw I was suffering despite being bundled to the hilt and growing more nervous as the electrician continued to be held up at a previous site, assured me that he would stay until the system was up and running. And he did. Russ is a superstar who is an asset to his employer and his profession. I've had the new system for 3 months now and I LOVE it! Having a quiet indoor unit took some getting used to. I wasn't sure the thing was even on at first. The temperature is the same in every room! And the heat is even! None of these blasts of heat, followed by rapidly-cooling air. It is so wonderful! I used the air conditioning for the first time recently, and it too made my house feel comfortable on an unusually muggy day. I will admit to a bit of a sticker shock when I received my first electric bill after the conversion, but some of that can be attributed to stay-at-home quarantine. I did the math, and estimate that I'll save about $600 a year in heating costs, but we'll see. Use of the air conditioning may reduce that savings. And now for some tough love. Finding someone responsible for remedying a failed City permit inspection was challenging. (It should be noted that Bel Red is considered an essential service and continued to sell and service systems during this time period.) When I finally pinned down someone responsible for addressing the problem, he used that old deflection tactic of claiming I'd been the one who'd been difficult to get ahold of.. I'm not sure if this guy doesn't understand that cell phones keep call records, including missed calls, or if he just thinks people won't notice his offensive behavior. Let's be clear about this tactic. This is called gaslighting. If you don't know what that is, go look it up, but rest assured that it has no place in a customer service interaction."

"I would hire these guys in a heart beat again. Between the project staff and the installers. They were quick, responsive, answered all of my questions, guided me in a direction to suit my families needs for proper hearing and air conditioning. They beat other quotes. And at this point, even if they didn t. I would ve hired them again. They fixed Incorrect installations from another well known company and didn t charge me. They properly reassemble everything that had to be taken apart to access the furnace. Which was in a crawl space. And it was a tighttt fit. Family owned and they didn t try selling me on things I didn t need. Bravo to them."

"When I first called to make an appointment I expected to leave a message but someone answered right away and I booked a day and date in no time. So that was great! The day of the service Jacob called to say he would be running late and he arrived in the time frame he said. He explained everything very thoroughly. I have a dog and a cat so I had to keep an eye on them while he did all that work because there would be a back door left open where the hose would be fed through. It took him about 2-3 hours. He also explained and showed me how to clean the air filters. He also showed me a few items that he found while cleaning the ducts. I purchased the service through Angie's list and I also paid an extra $25 per bathroom fan to be cleaned. I would use their services again."
