"One hour air-conditioning is way better than any other company here in Las Vegas area. I would highly recommend them to do any of your air-conditioning work. My technician Timothy came out at 10:30 PM on a Saturday night and had my air-conditioning up and running within the hour."

"Coming home from a vacation and finding out that my second level air conditioning is not working in early August in Las Vegas is not a good feeling. Called this company, MAC Tech and Marco was able to come and save the day. Both of our units are original so they're very old. He fixed it without unnecessary repair/replacement or upselling us. He gave his honest opinion and our expectations with our very old and tired AC units, which we kind of already knew. But he also gave us suggestions on how to keep it maintained to make it last a little longer. All that for a very reasonable fee. Fixing our air conditioning the same day we called Marco and giving us very valuable suggestions regarding our air conditioning is more than enough for me to confidently recommend this company and Marco to all our friends, family."

"I believe his name was Josh He was very professional, got right to it, said it would be no problem and went right to it. It didn't take that long We've used Pure Plumbing previously regarding an broken air conditioning unit and the lead worker was Juan who had the same sort of nice personality and got the job done quickly. We think this is the best plumbing company in Las Vegas...just our opinion"

"We have used Yes for our air conditioning and heating tune ups and repair for years. They are helpful and courteous. They added insulation so our heating and air conditioning system doesn’t have to work so hard. They also cleaned the ducts. The unit is working great."

"I understood the replacement of the PVC piping for proper drainage, no problem. However, the stoppage of the noise when the air condition unit stopped has caused me to wonder. Why did Aire Serv charge me for the moving the wiring within the unit to stop the noise? The last maintenance done on the unit was a replacement of a circuit board. YOUR technician, not Dave, performed the work and if he did not secure the wiring properly? Why is Aire Serv of Las Vegas now charging me to ensure it is secured now? No pictures of work preform were provided."

Most professional HVAC technicians require two to three hours to complete an expansion valve replacement. The timeframe depends on your unit's accessibility and whether additional repairs are needed. The process involves recovering refrigerant, removing the old valve, installing the new component, and recharging the system. Scheduling during less busy seasons may result in more convenient appointment times.
Operating your air conditioner with a malfunctioning expansion valve isn't advisable. Continuing to run the system could potentially damage other components, particularly your compressor, which is significantly more expensive to replace. If you notice performance issues like inconsistent cooling or unusual noises, it's best to have your system inspected before continuing regular use.
Expansion valves don't have a standard replacement schedule, as their longevity depends on system usage, maintenance frequency, and environmental factors. Regular professional maintenance helps identify potential valve issues before they cause system failure. Having your HVAC system serviced annually allows technicians to monitor component condition and recommend preventative replacements when necessary.
Refrigerant leaks require prompt professional attention. If your expansion valve is leaking, you'll likely notice reduced cooling performance and possibly hear hissing sounds near the unit. Addressing leaks quickly prevents further system inefficiency and avoids the environmental impact of released refrigerant. Your HVAC technician will need to repair the leak and recharge the system with the proper refrigerant type and amount.
Because many AC issues present similar symptoms, professional diagnosis is recommended. Problems like inadequate cooling, inconsistent temperatures, or strange noises could indicate expansion valve issues, but might also stem from refrigerant leaks, electrical problems, or airflow restrictions. A qualified HVAC technician has the tools and expertise to accurately identify the root cause and recommend appropriate repairs.
