"We choose Unique Indoor Comfort as the company to replace our 1960’s era gas boiler with a 83% AFUE Weil McLain, and we’ve been very happy with that decision. Everyone from Unique that we interacted with was professional, personable, and patient. The latter quality being reflected in the willingness of everyone from Unique, from the salesperson to the installation crew, to take time to answer all our questions. After sizing our heating requirements, Unique presented us with several packages, of differing efficiency, that included boilers smaller than the old one, but ones that would meet our heating needs. This was in contrast to other companies that wanted to replace our old boiler with one of similar size, not taking into account that the old one was oversized to begin with. The Unique package we chose included outdoor reset, and air elimination, items that may have increased upfront costs, but ones that will probably offer savings, convenience, and increased comfort in the long run. "We recently moved into a house built in 1987 with the original air conditioning unit, which constantly ran without stopping.  It was a brutal summer, but it was definitely not running properly.  Joe came out himself to take a look.  He took a look at the entire system and suggested that we service the AC to make it function properly and not constantly run.  He also changed the air filter in the furnace.  I appreciated the fact that he did not push a new air conditioning system in the house considering the unit we have is 25+ years old.  He also gave us a few ideas on how to make our home more energy efficient.  He did a great job.

we had a leak problem and the tech came and looked over our equipment, fixed the problem and left. It cost us nothing and we have had their home heating service contracts for over 20 years.  They have NEVER ONCE not shown up or not helped and in the two furnace emergencies we had--they were here with in 1hr.

"They said there was a bend in the pipe. They said that the quality of the pipe was not very good. Also it hadn't been backfilled properly so it created this bend in the pipe and the air pocket caused a problem. I was out of warranty for the house, it was a year or two after maybe even three years after the warranty. I called them and explained the situation. They said I was outside of the warranty and we are not going to do it. So I kind of threatened them a little bit to see if I could get them to move. They came out and they brought another company who said it had nothing to do with that and it was a blockage between the toilet and the outside. I never saw that. They snaked it and I paid the additional fee for that, and I still have the problem. I didn't continue down the builder path because I thought it was a losing battle at this point. I didn't get anywhere. It's going to run me a couple thousand dollars. You can't get a backhoe in there so they have to dig it by hand and remove the section of the pipe to put a new piece of pipe in there. I had a bathroom in the basement put in. There is a pump that pushes water or sewage out. Whenever I notice there is a problem I force the pump to run and it takes care of the problem because it forces water through the area. Once a month I go and run it a couple times and I don't have a problem. Mattioni was probably right in his assessment. They were very professional. I would use them again. The price is consistent with what other people are charging, but they are pretty high in general. Mattioni recorded it as well. That is something the other company didn't do. That may explain why the were a little higher. They came out when they said the would and did exactly what they said they would do. I said I have a problem and they looked at it."
