"Stephen was awesome. He came out right away and helped repair the lock on our sliding door. After getting turned down by many others and being told we potentially needed to replace our lock and handle, he helped repair the current version to restore it to like new condition. He was friendly, thoughtful, and patient, despite the challenge. A+ work. Highly recommended!"

"The person from the company that we dealt with was professional and patient.  He quoted a price that was realistic and the true price that we ended up paying.  The installers were on time, efficient, and had the job done when they said they would.  Now we have whole house air and are enjoying it.  We would definately use this company again and would recommend it to anyone.

"On September 18, 2025 My husband and I had our furnace replaced by Neighborhood Plumbing, Heating and Air. They did such an amazing job, very professional and organized like a well oiled machine. Justin and Andrew were our installers and we would recommend them to anyone. They were so thorough and explained everything they did and installed a new thermostat and showed us how to operate it. Two weeks later the electrician Spencer came out and installed a surge protector onto the furnace and showed us how to operate it. We would recommend Spencer to anyone also. We would also like to thank the entire team at Neighborhood plumbing, heating and air including the young ladies that make all the phone calls."

"I thought long and hard before writing this review. Mcquillan Bros did some things exceptionally well, and other things below par and I did not want to blow either side of that equation out of proportion. Here is my story of how they performed from first contact to the end of installation. First of all, the people in this company are great. Outgoing, friendly, and for the most part, knowledgeable. The company seems to be genuinely interested in keeping the customer happy, and to a certain degree, they do so. On Monday July 2nd, we called McQuillan Bros and asked if somebody would come and give us a quote for a new furnace, a new air conditioner, a new water heater, and a new water softener. The next day, Tuesday, July 3rd, Nathan showed up and was incredibly friendly and willing to work. He walked around our house and also checked our existing equipment. When he was finished we all sat down to discuss what we needed. I’ll say that he had his company presentation bullet-points down to a tee. At one point though, I had to tell him to lay off being ‘Mr. Salesman’ and just answer our questions without all the hype. After a while it was agreed on what we needed and what the price would be. We signed all the documents and he said they could install the unit on Thursday, July 5th. We were overjoyed that they also said they would bring a temporary portable air conditioner today to help cool our house until the work was finished! Nathan took photos of the windows in our house where we wanted the portable air conditioner’s exhaust to go. He said that he would send them in to the McQuillan Brothers office so that they would know what equipment to bring to our house to install the portable AC unit. Great idea! That afternoon the guy showed up with our portable air conditioner. Again a very friendly and outgoing person. He started to install the air conditioner and asked where the window was that we wanted the exhaust to go out. We showed him what we had shown Nathan and he said that he did not bring the right parts because he did not know what type of window it was going to be. What seemed to have happened was that Nathan neglected to send that information back to the office and therefore, the guy didn’t know what equipment/parts he needed to do the install. He actually had to leave and come back 2 separate times after his arrival in order to get everything he needed to do this right. On one trip he even stopped by Fleet Farm to purchase the necessary plastic tubing he needed. That was great, but it was also my first clue that McQuillan Bros may not have been as organized as they should be. We were told that the installation was to start on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. At 10:30 or so, no installers had yet arrived, so we called McQuillan Bros to find out what happened. They said that they had switched the install time to noon but had forgotten to call us and let us know of that change. This was the 2nd indication that they might not be well organized. Around noon, two Gentlemen showed up and began the installation. It seemed they were doing a great job and during the time they were installing our new equipment, John McQuillan himself stopped out to check on their work. He was great and answered all the questions I had. Again I have to say that the installation guys were great, outgoing, and personal, and, in this regard, McQuillan Bros HVAC was an absolute joy to work with. They told us that the water softener itself was still being built so they could not install it that same day. This was no problem for us at all. They also realized that they had not brought the correct filters for the furnace. Clue #3 that they were not well organized? (They said they would bring the correct filters out soon, and in a few days, they did) They finished the installation that Thursday around 8:30 p.m. and everything was working great. (sans water softener, of course) On Saturday morning we noticed that our air conditioning unit outside was clicking off and on about every 5 Seconds. This went on and on and of course, we felt something was wrong, so we called McQuillan Brothers and they asked if was OK to send a technician out on Monday. I told them we would like to see someone today and they did indeed send somebody out that same day. Impressive, but also the right thing to do in this case. The repair technician looked over and tested everything and said it was all working perfectly. Of course it was not doing the on and off clicking while he was here. He looked at our thermostat and found that we had set up a schedule for the temperature changes we wanted throughout the day. He said that that may be confusing the air conditioner so he deleted that schedule. Sunday night while we were sleeping we woke up to the sound of the AC unit clicking on and off again every 5 seconds or so, just like before. We called them the following day (Monday) and again they sent a technician out to inspect the unit. This technician spent several hours going through everything. The connection between the outside air conditioner and our house had frozen up and that seemed to be what was causing the air conditioner to do what they called “short cycle”. After several hours of work and testing the technician told me he thought he knew what the problem was.but first wanted to call the main office. He talked with Andy McQuillan and what they determined together is that they had installed the wrong size air conditioner for our home! What? At this point I was flabbergasted and the questions began flowing through my mind. Did the salesman order the wrong air conditioner for our home? He was the supposed expert! Was he trying to inflate his commission by selling us a more expensive air conditioner than we needed? Why didn’t the first repair guy they sent out on Saturday notice this flagrant error? At this point, I do not have the answers. But this did solidify in my mind that this company’s right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. This mistake was unconscionable. Yup! Clue #4 on the organizational problem with McQuillan Bros. This organizational problem was now becoming a pattern. They said they needed to replace the unit they had installed and sure enough, two days later (Wednesday) they came out and removed the air conditioning unit they initially installed and replaced it with a smaller unit. The first air conditioner that they had put in was a 3-ton unit. (Carrier #24ACC636) I guess that was more than we needed for our house. The second unit they put in was a 2-ton unit. (Carrier #24ACC624) After this fiasco I certainly wanted to do research on pricing and what we really needed for a central AC unit. But it seems as though finding air condition pricing, BTU output, and Seer ratings is a bit like trying to buy a new mattress. There are so many options even within the same model range that you don't know which is which. I know the exact model numbers of the two carrier units they have installed but it's very difficult to find basic pricing and specifications for each unit. I would assume that the 2-ton replacement unit would be less expensive than the 3-ton unit that they initially installed. But they have not yet offered any compensation for what now seems to me, an over-payment. So, all in all, what was to have been a single day installation, took an entire week. I will say that they did step up to the plate and get things re-installed in a timely fashion. And they did seem very concerned that we were having these problems. Also, everything seems to be working fine now and for the most part we are happy. It was just the confusion of the entire process that was disconcerting and stressful to a certain degree. When spending this kind of money, one would expect things to be done right the first time. Why did they install the wrong AC unit in the first place? This issue continues to baffle me. And because of that error the question becomes, “is everything now properly installed?” How about our furnace? Is that more furnace than we need? And there’s still the issue of price compensation for the smaller unit. I did post that I would not hire them again. And probably wou"
